Just finished it and enjoyed it so much more than the original! I won't bore anyone with my critiques here but, for anyone who may be interested, I did write them all down in the review section here on MDL.
I don't mind this so much, except there are way too many characters to keep track of, and that short chubby blond-haired woman (she's someone's sister and works as a maid or something)... she is so obnoxious I can hardly stand her. I think they're trying to make her funny but she isn't at all.
It is a shame as there is good production value overall so they have funds. But the continued bad/over acting…
That's IT! You nailed it, my biggest complaint with most Filipino BLs is that there are so many side characters I can't keep up with them all. And, more importantly, why should we be expected keep up with them all, let alone care about them?
As a gay dude myself, I can understand Heng. He has been in the closet his entire life, especially with his mother,…
Thank you for sharing. You sound like a really cool person!
I think we all wanted Heng to say something to his mother right then and there. However, he was ready to. It was Mo who made up the whole Chicha girlfriend and encouraged them to go along with it. Add in the mom possibly having cancer and going to the hospital and you've suddenly got a sticky situation that Heng never asked for. Even then, Heng was determined to tell his mom... and then Mo broke up with him.
I am really upset with Heng. I hate a weak ass indecisive wimp of a man. Momo needed to leave his butt. How much…
As a gay dude myself, I can understand Heng. He has been in the closet his entire life, especially with his mother, and she has jumped to the conclusion that Chicha is his girlfriend (and Mo encouraged Heng to go along with it). Probably the toughest thing about coming out is the fear of disappointing (or being ousted by) your parents.
This series is moving so fast! Can't believe there are only 3 episodes left. As a fan of the original Japanese series, I'm looking forward to see how they end this. I'm Team BossTen all the way!
For me, Junior has given us the finest bit of acting in this entire series, when Wine told Faifa that he found out Tor is into men, and he (Wine ) is still into Tor. The levels of expression and hurt on Junior's face were heartbreaking.
