A pity I just found this now, but even after just the first episode, I can tell I'm going to be into this one. I already like the way it's tackling bullying. It's involving the stories of all categories of people involved. The best friend who's helpless to save the victim at the moment, other students who are out to do the right thing, the 'rationale' of the bully and why he's being one and, rather surprisingly, those in authority like the teachers and head masters. It's very clearly saying: Look at this. This is a problem for everyone and everyone should be involved in solving it.
What an episode. I thought it would be something more along the lines of a grand misunderstanding than what it turned out to be. Tbh it's a little hard to be so angry toward Pran's mom given the circumstances.
Or the more relevant reason Wayu said that is because "thanu" is the Thai word for "archery bow". The word for…
Ah. My source (a foreigner who lives in Thailand) was wrong then. lol This makes more sense though as it's more direct. Thanks! ^_^ And it is very cute.
It wouldn't be far off to have a name of a Hindu god in Thailand though. Although most people are Buddhist, a lot of basis of the language comes from Sanskrit/Pali and many Hindu folktales are common in Thailand. Like in En of Love: This is Love Story, the twins are called Praram and Pralak or "Rama" and "Lakshman" (a deity and his brother from the Hindu epic) and of course the regnal names of the past 10 kings of Thailand are also named after the same deity.
If we can continue to get solid 5-7 minute sections of the show with MarkKit being happy and romantic, I'm able to ignore any other faults with the show. lol
Also, the reason why Wayu said "Your name is Thanu but you can't shoot an arrow" is because Thanu or Srithanu is a name for the Hindu god Shiva who has an bow and arrow as one of his weapons.
Allegedly, he and Mike had a falling out and they won’t be working together in future. Not sure how true that is, but I hope it’s not because I love them together.
I just saw a short clip with Shinwoo and Taekyung and so I came here. Are they just in one episode or what? lol I'm craving more Light On Me SO bad rn.
It's very, very hard for me to overstate how much I appreciated this drama. First of all, the leads are just beautiful. The story was beautifully told. It gets angsty at some points, but not to the point of making you feel too sad for too long and even it managed to make me laugh out loud at multiple points. The camera angles, the passion, the music, everything. I loved this. I don't know what else to say.
Getting Kiyoi's backstory in ep 5 is making me lose my mind and I'm gushing at all of these flashbacks. Never mind 2021, this may end up as one of my favorite BLs of all time.
Because a village is small and would have 50 families/homes at max, basically a neighborhood in a rural area
Even if there were that few people, that doesn't quite explain why they'd always be in the same place at the same time? It's not like they were on their way to school/work most of the time either. It just seemed a little too coincidental for me.
If I could go back in time and not watch this, I would do it. Of all the stories written, I'm at a loss to explain…
I just watched some clips from the South Korean adaptation and I think I'm gonna actually go back and watch it. Yes, it's dated, but the humor still seems to be there, plus the guys are handsome and it's only a movie, not a series, so I won't have wasted too much time.
Agreed about the cartoonishly evil murderers. Also, who knocks someone out, ties them up, and leaves their purse right next to them? I've never seen anything like this in any show or movie in my life. lol
While I enjoyed the interaction between the four baker boys (their chemistry's good) and they made me laugh at least 3 or 4 times each episode, I can't say that I'd recommend this. Whatever appeal this is supposed to have be it 'BL adjacent' stuff, murder mystery, or relationship/character development, it's kind of a letdown on all sides. It wasn't torture and, as loveinfernal72 said below, it's better than Bite Me, but it just didn't live up to what it could have been.

SAME!
Seems like Wayu and Thanu are pretty much gonna be into their groove by next episode, so there has to be some sexy Sandee-fueled trouble coming up.
