I think the ending may have been given away a bit in the trailer, but I’m looking forward to this. It’s new and I’m glad I get to see Khaotung in a main role again.

I hear you, but enough people loved Pond/Phuwin (read: FUTS made enough money and both actors are on the younger end of the GMMTV BL actors group) to definitely warrant them getting paired together again. That said, for as predictable/typical as this may be, I feel like it won't be as bad as another recent bodyguard-to-lover BL whose name I won't mention and I'm almost certain I'll end up liking this more than FUTS.

The last time I saw this off-putting of a pairing was Tonhon Chonlatee. 😬 Miracles happen though. TC wasn't one of them, but they do happen. lol I can't not watch this.

That's not untrue. haha In fact, it's true of a lot (read: too many) Chinese dramas. There's always a 4-5 episode lull SOMEwhere. lol

Knowing what someone likes in terms of other shows could help understand what they'd like or may not like about another show. To that end, I noticed that she hadn't really seen any other dramas like this one (either in length or genre). Nothing like Joy of Life or Nirvana in Fire was on their list. So, that's all that sentence meant. I wasn't trying to say that it was somehow bad that she wasn't able to get past episode 2 or anything else negative about her preferences. I think the first couple of episodes are slow, but not boring. Not boring at all.

Perth is Australian by birth, so his Thai is what’s good. 😂 He also speaks Japanese pretty fluently.

This drama is long has a lot of relationships and stories to tell. It takes a while to "pick up", I guess, but it's great story-telling and character development.

Tbh I watched this because I knew it was a BL classic, but after watching it, I feel like the situation described in the MDL description takes up a disappointingly excessive amount of time.

This comment made me laugh so hard. Not because you don't like SOTUS (it really wasn't a favorite of mine either and Arthit is like the worst character I've ever known in a BL), but because you slapped it right in between The Cupid Coach and Waterboyy. Like...DAMN. lol SOTUS is one of the most, if not, THE most classic and well-loved Thai BL while Waterboyy and The Cupid Coach are like the dumpster fires of the Thai BL world. 😭lol The contrast is so stark. I can't stop laughing. But yeah, I agree with you. This show isn't that bad. I'm enjoying it.

I like how they addressed the stigma too and it all came full circle with ramen. lol

I agree about Japanese BLs. They're less gimmicky and they're aimed at really telling a story instead of just being cheap entertainment.

Maybe they just mean he's gained weight? lol I dunno. This is all just my conjecture because I kinda thought the same thing as soon as he came on the screen. He looks fine though imo.

Wasn't expecting much from this one, but it's so easy to watch Singto as he's such a good actor. Plus, I finally get to see Yacht actually get paired with a guy in a BL (if there's another BL out there with him paired with a guy and not playing a straight supporting role, please let me know lol).

Episode 5 will live in my heart forever. I'm obsessed with OST for this show and that along with the glowing lights in the background, the tears, the relief in their eyes, passion and just their great acting overall. Wow. Just wow.
