Good heavens. What a lot of negative comment on girls/women who enjoy m/m romance. However, I think this is going…
Exactly! M/M fanfiction is very often written by women, for instance, and I see so many possibilities explored there which are restricted by real-life roles and norms related to gender and sexuality in real life societies. A story about men loving each other removes the burden of sexual objectification that is placed on women and places it instead on men, and that in itself is a huge transgression. Edit: and another note- men enjoy lesbian porn and yuri as well. One look at a porn site will show you that men fetishize an endless number of things that it isn't ethical to fetishize. Many men who are homophobic in real life do this. So I don't think gender and sexuality are anywhere near as simple as many of the replies are making out to be, and because people enjoy these genres for different reasons, the fact that some fetishize gay relationships by no means allows you to put a blanket judgement on everyone who enjoys these genres.
Try 'Extraordinary You'! It's both full of humour, and the cast AND sets/visuals are beautiful! It's also just a really enjoyable drama to binge or get addicted to :D
