On F4 Thailand: Boys over Flowers • Nov 2, 2019

2021 release date? All the other articles from MDL say it's coming in 2020. I'll be interested to see Thailand version of Boys Over Flowers. I really liked Full House Thailand remake. I hope that GMM can do well with updating the script and give it Thai flavor so we can see a fresh side to this older story. It would be nice to see all 4 of the F4 members get their own stories and character development for once. It always seems like that #4 never really gets any storyline. They sort of tried in Meteor Garden 2018, but it was a failure. Perhaps they will make that #4 member gay and a "boy magnet". It would be nice to see that kind of diversity. Hope that the drama will be on Netflix like some of the other GMM TV dramas.

Ditto! Ugh. Her "no kissing" rule for a romance drama really ruined it for me. And the acting wasn't that strong either.

Article Upcoming Remakes 2019/2020

Wow! I didn't realize there were so many remakes slated for 2020. I am really looking forward to the following:
China-
The Ordinary Glory: saw the trailer for this and it looks really good quality overall. Plus, love Mark Chao! I just wish it was 24 eps instead of 42-too bloated.

Thailand-
Voice
Boss & Me: Push & Aom in cute romcom?: yes, please! I just hope it gets subbed.
Boys Over Flowers:Oh, Yeah! I hope that GMM will do a good job with both the script and the casting (please choose actors with strong skills, not just popularity) so that we can see a new and fresh side to this older story. Hope it will be on Netflix like some of the other GMM shows.

South Korea-
So I Married An Anti-Fan: I like Choi Tae Joon & Soo Young. I heard this remake follows more the manga storyline, which people said was better than the film.

@Alice Wang Thanks for the information. Hopefully somehow we will see this drama broadcast before the end of 2020. I can only be grateful that the 2nd lead rocketed to fame, otherwise this drama would probably have been shelved for good.

Ugh. Tencent released teaser trailer for Oath of Love today, which is the modern drama starring Zhan Xiao and the girl from GoGo Squid, so I don't have much hope for The Wolf since it looks like they will show Oath of Love instead. And Ten Miles Peach Blossom Pillow Book is their big historical drama for the end of the year. I think Tencent has a deal with Netflix since several of their dramas have shown up at NF recently. My last hope is that they will give the liscense to NF somehow. I filled out the request form at Netflix. Maybe if enough people request it at Netflix , NF may pursue getting the rights.
