I love how you and a group of you think you win an argument by insulting, you are very funny. Nobody said anything about liking a friend, but liking the girl that your friend likes, to what he cannot claim ignorance because the whole town knows about this from the moment they were born when they were literally matched by their mothers. Yes, he is hurting people around him, himself included; it doesn't matter how "mature" the writers want to paint the male lead or how understanding he seems, knowing that what was supposed to be a close friend is willing to hurt your feelings cannot feel good, and more when you have such a big struggle trying to connect to the person you love.
