I also felt the ending was rushed , them falling in love felt too insta-love in a way considering their rocky…
Yup, the sudden shift to insta-love kind of ruined it for me. What’s the point of all this super slow and complex build up if the characters use a lazy cop out in the end? It’s like answering every question on an exam yourself, only to cave in and cheat in the last ten minutes. What’s the point?
Kinda lost me after the 7th episode. I think it needed at least 12 episodes to properly flash out the characters and their complicated relationships towards one another, not to mention other problems like AI etc. I enjoyed every second of the show up until the start of episode 8 but I thought Koh and Jira falling in love and confessing was a bit quick considering the overall pacing from previous episodes. The AI debate felt a bit too performative to me for the lack of a better word and the ending seemed rushed and a bit contrived.
It's not a BL. During the live event they changed MCs for every type of series and Mr Kill was in het/no-romance…
True, I remember their quick statement. I didn’t watch the live this year, only the pilots so I was still confused about Mr Kill😅 I didn’t know they adjusted the airing categories though. I remember I liked the thrill of not knowing if the next pilot is gonna be bl or not 🤣
This is the exact reason why I’m against bromance. No BL will be given good plot in the future if they can just…
I kind of agree. Not necessarily that bromances shouldn’t be made but that gmmtv bls won’t get a similar storyline treatment. It seems gmmtv has decided that if it’s going to produce a bl it has to have romance front and center (with some other formulas). I think that’s why they won’t produce a show that is mainly a different genre but with a bl relationship as a subplot. The only thing that came close was Not Me if I remember correctly. It’s a bit depressing bc I’m dying for something like HSF and Mr.Kill but with an actual, confirmed relationship at the end. These bromances are of course very bl-coded, so much so that it almost becomes impossible to read them as ‘simple’ bromances but man, what I wouldn’t give for them to actually make something like that but openly bl.
I just saw the trailer and it looked very bl-like at times. I came to check and the genre is mystery and drama. People seem to discuss the possibility of it being bl but from what I understand it’s not a bl officially, right? More in line with something like HSF?
Watched the YinWar plus Yoon situation and had a lot of fun with it bc of the comedy. Underneath the humor there’s a thick layer of toxicity peeking through. The ending was depressingly realistic even if the comedy made it easier to swallow. Oftentimes even if a person knows that they’re in a situation that’s not good for them, they can’t always extricate themselves from it easily bc people get used to routine even if said routine is bad for them.
My genuine opinion thus far (which is going to get me in trouble) is that if you are primarily a Khaotung fan…
Oh man, how upsetting. I loved Only Friends and Khaotung did a fantastic job as Ray but First did no less well than Khao. I just think that Khaos’s character might have been a bit more demanding but I loved the way First portrayed Sand. Saying First is riding Khao’s coattails is absolutely wild to me. With his acting skills he’s more than capable to stand on his own. Hopefully he won’t be relegated to simply being Khao’s support for their future projects, I really want him to shine on his own.

Omg I didn’t know that. FK are my favorite bl ship not less bc I love how they play off of each other. Both good actors even though if I absolutely had to choose I think I’d prefer First by just a little bit. If First is really treated that way in comparison to Khaotung it’s really upsetting. Why though? What brought this on in the fandom? Since when? The Eclipse?
Is this show really coming out this year? It’s been so long I forgot about it, randomly clicked on it while I was checking my ptw list. I assumed it was cancelled like the rest of TurboKaownah shows.
Yeah well sorry to rain on the parade but after 4 episodes, I'm throwing the towel... It's yet another GMMTV Mid…
Amen 🙏 I’m nearing the end of the show and while I personally liked the first 4 episodes bc of the comedy the rest ended up becoming exponentially less and less enjoyable for me.
Oh, Ryan lives in Thailand? Did he move there after starring in My Engineer? I thought he lived in China. If it’s true then why isn’t he in more Thai dramas? 😭
Just finished the show and truth be told it was one of the most tedious BL shows I’ve had the displeasure to watch. The weirdest part is that I usually like Gawin well enough and I have been wanting to see Joss in a BL since forever but duuude, what in the name of all that is holy was that??? The writing was all over the place, the pacing even worse, the characters’ personalities were nonsensical, wtf. The only thing I disagree with was them being the straightest couple up to date, to me that spot still firmly lies with BrightWin but I do consider JossGawin to be a close second. I really believe Joss is the main culprit here bc I liked Gawin just fine with Pod in DBK and I liked him well enough with First in Not Me but with Joss it was somehow super awkward. Maybe it’s bc I couldn’t take Joss’ acting seriously? He constantly looked so goofy, especially in what were supposed to be serious scenes. He looked like he was performing the Blue Steel regardless of the situation.
Loved your review! Haven’t watched it myself bc based on the comments it’s not smt I’d enjoy. Your review just cemented my decision not to watch it lol You did make me curious about the promise though…what exactly was it?

It’s always sad when the show’s potential is great yet is never explored properly 😞
