It is strange. I saw this video version with her hair in just a ponytail and the singing sounded straight into the mic. Then later, I saw another version with her hair longer and dangling over her shoulder and the singing was obviously mixed with prerecorded version.

Just put a BL in front her, heh. She'll forget about the lighting, the clothes, the dangling hair bits and the camera work just like that, boom! LOL. I listen to her review just to hear her reaction to the camera work and quick synopsis. Sometimes her genre rants are funny and on point on a few points, but most of the time, I don't think one should base one's decision to watch just on her two or three episode quick-watch or one might miss some really good dramas. Xianxia is a slow-moving creature, with long character arcs that goes through epic highs and lows. How can three episode-watch summarizes how good a show can be? For myself, the more emotion it can wring out of the viewer as she watches, the more successful the actors and director have been with conveying the whole epic. So far, I've gone through amusement, laughter, anger, absolute disgust, heartbreak and tears watching TLI. I can't wait for the cheers of vindication and angsty love and some eventual happy tears coming my way!

It is actually very well set up. The first ten episodes is the innocence. The second ten episode is the sweet love and outside forces. The third set of ten is the betrayal and loss of innocence. The last ten episodes is the comeback, the growth and the revelations.
