6) Ah Yin almost dead. Hair white. Gu Jin rushes her off to see BiBo.
7) VERY BAD THINGS HAPPEN ON MT DAZE
8) Ah Yin got cure. The two rushes back but there was A VERY BAD INCIDENT and Ho gYi is implicated.
9) War. Gu Jin becomes Yanqqi.
10) Ah Yin did something.
11) Yanqqi/Gu Jin is now a true god and has to punish Ah Yin.
12) He did not know Ah Yin had already suffered thunder strikes from Hua Shu, so he inadvertently killed his beloved.

In xanxia they need to show suffering and humiliation. If they hurry over the angst and get to the revenge part, then it would be Wuxia.

Actually, if you compare this drama with many of the other famous ones, it has very few fillers and is actually moving at a crisp pace.

Come to think of it, it’s very ironic. The young phoenix FengYin wasn’t supposed to be born because there was supposed to be one phoenix at a time. The magical water beastie Ah Yin was also an egg that wasn’t supposed to hatch because it was “damaged” in the previous war that killed all its kind. And yet, in both instances, the YinSoul managed to do it. 😊

Unfortunately, this was the calamity the Rock asked of him when he prayed to the Rock to get all of Feng Yin’s soul pieces. All foretold in Episode One. Many viewers rushed through it but all the story is told right there—from Ghost-AhYin’s mouth to the Little Singing Boy’s explanation of backstory to Ao Ge mocking Yanqqi about his sword to the devils explaining to each other why they needed the phoenix pendant stone to Dong Hua talking to the two elders about Gu Jin’s real identity to Gu Jin asking the Rock which demanded a calamity in return. It’s ALL there. 😝 There iare no spoilers after watching Episode 1!

Poor Ah Yin. He really killed her, then? But the ghost-AhYin in Episode 1 suggested otherwise?
