On Pursuit of Jade Mar 8, 2026
I love how active the comments section is for this drama. It reminds me of when I first started commenting here during Our Generation and we were all up at all hours of the day and night from all over the world, sharing our views and chasing down episodes before they aired on Netflix. And Love Between Lines, Sniper Butterfly, and Shine on Me, etc.

I have just a few friends who watch Asian dramas (one of whom I'm indoctrinating) and with nowhere near the veracity that we do, so Xièxiè to you all for sharing this experience with me!

One thing that annoys me with Netflix subs is that they fail to use appropriate honorifics. For example: Changning…
I hate that, too, but also feel so proud of my American self when I can hear the difference between the subtitle and what the character actually said. Also little things like when people sneeze because someone is talking about them and vinegar, thanks to Viki.

I understand their marriage is not real atm but at the same time it feels real lol.
I think they feel some real and mutual affection and respect for each other that makes them want to look out for each other. Love that the little girl cares for and looks up to him, too, and he is quite good with her, as well.

Good luck saving those eps. If you do, you have more self control than I do. Now I have to wait for tomorrow.
Alarm set, lol.

I loved him in OG, especially the last 5 episodes. My favorite ZLH character is Pei Wen Xuan but now I am loving…
Hello, Twinty! Good to see you again. Although I have watched just two period dramas (Bon Appetite, Your Majesty and My Dearest) because it is not my thing, I tuned into this for him and I am enjoying it so much!

So, is that why his face looks like death warmed over?

I just saw a review giving 1 star rating saying only reason they gave that rating is the actors , They claimed…
It is really, really good and I don't do costume dramas but am loving it. The actors are very good.

I'm pretty sure 70s was terrible around the whole world, nostalgia just has done it's job for most people. So…
That is not true. It was pretty fun here in the U.S. for many people.

Why was it too much though? Why is she the crazy one? He almost immediately went to remove her leg and she wasn't…
Didn't she breaknthe statue? That made me so sad. I understood completely why she panicked and stopped things and everything else she was feeling, but I thought it was really mean of her to break this expression of love for her that he'd kept for all of those years, especially since it was so touching and amazing that a boy with his bad temper would do something like that.

It's the number 1 reason this DRAMA GRIPPED ME from the shots of Scene 1 - cinematic excellence and mastery in…
I started binging this the other day while waiting for the Love Story in the 1970s express package. Have been avoiding it since I began my Asian drama journey around this time last year because it deals with such serious issues and I'm a bit of a shallow cow. But it is so good, so lovely, so funny, and so sad and I'm loving every second of it, even when tears were pouring down my face in episode 18. And, for some reason I love, love, love that man!

A definite rewatch.

Title Love Story in the 1970s Spoiler
Mom! IYKYK
When Mujing turned up at school calling her Mom at every opportunity with such a gleeful look I was so happy! I bet her sweet husband helped come up with that kooky idea. And when it didn't work, I was so glad to see him go to the parents for a talk because he was so done with his girl getting hurt. Muyang was funny when coming to his sister's defense and told the mum it's not because they're that close, but because he really likes his brother-in-law.

One thing I couldn't stop thinking, though, was that under the same circumstances, I think the mother would have made the same choice and given how she raised Mujing, why was she so surprised? There was no way to know that live would eventually go back to normal and she would have sacrificed her whole future. I get being hurt, but Ms. Mu went way too far.

This series is such a gem. A season two is definitely warranted.
