I remember seeing Li Meng snatch Tan Song Yun from Liu Xue Yi. As soon as Zhao Xing Tang looked at Lan Xiang the way she did, I knew it was game over haha. She fell for her and understood exactly why Jin Qi married her. Wanting to be close to her and do business made sense haha. I can just imagine what they would be like as business partners. But Lan Xiang isn't commerce focused or as greedy as ZXT.

I'll also recommend Qin Dynasty Epic and Secret of The Three Kingdoms. I haven't watched it yet but planning to: Ming Dynasty or Da Ming Huang Fei Sun Ruo Wei. You can check The Legend of Du Gu too.

Gosh I like and dislike the Emperor at the same time haha. He stresses me out so damn much! Might as well write the truth on his forehead! Poor Empress is so stressed too. Yet I am so happy for her. She is finally able to feel and know what love is, even though this man is stressing her out and frustrated her so much. The two of them met in the most turbulent time and found each other. Tragic yet beautiful.

Si Ma Yi! Loved him as soon as I saw him, he is so freaking cool! But will he be able to remain on the Emperor's team? Dude always gotta be the one to clean up that naive and idiot's mess. I like him with Miss Tang. She is a remarkable woman like the Empress. And both found fools in love when all they wanted was revenge and war to make it out of the mess.

That damn Cao Pi has a crush on the Empress and wants Si Ma Yi... and that is dangerous because the Emperor is a thorn in his side because of love rivalry...

I am intrigued by Guo Jia! He is soooo cool. But cannot gush over him due to his past. Cao Cao? Oh what a terrifying man!
the cast did great because this drama has me at the edge of my seat. Director, crew and writers worked because this show is really really good!🥵🥵

It is a strange experience though, knowing history and what will happen to most of the characters from the start...

The subs are so annoying. Isn't Liu He supposed to be the eldest Prince? Why are they using "Duke" as a title.

I enjoyed it up to a point and the plot and characters towards the ML got really annoying. It's a shame because the show had a really good premise.

After finishing My Heroic Husband, i watched The Reborn Young Master and saw this drama in the list. So I picked it up. Lmao it's got a very similar start to MHH lool. The premise is similar as well. I guess I'm stuck in the matrilocal husband loop. And tea especially after rewatching Glory last month 😅😅😮‍💨🤣 Matrilocal husband too. And rewatched New Life Begins before that mwahaha. Oh my. How did I get myself into this!

I like how they used some of the Legend of Shen Li score. It's so cool and so good to hear it again! And the songs slap hard! Like damn haha.

After watching the last episodes I also understood the anger in her screams and cries. He followed her up North and when she was about to get him to leave and go back to the capital, the war broke and she could no longer reciprocate and save him. That's why she was so distraught as well as losing her soul brother, her best friend. I had seen the reels and knew she was sad about the last fact. But the former hit me when i watched the episodes. She felt guilt because he didn't get to leave and survive. But as the Heir to Marquis Chang Xing, he wouldn't have left when he heard that the fight was raging. He had a duty to go and do what he could on the battlefield, to honor his legacy as a military noble.

Well since he was 28 during the filming, I'd say he's portraying a ML that is his age no? Chen Yan Yun should be about 10-12 years older than Gu Jin Zhao. So Ci Sha's character is around his age.

Not the beginning lmao. I paused it at episode 24 or 25, after speeding through 10 episodes up until ep35. Then i said yeah I need a break from these idiots. I didn't think of the things you mentioned. I understood a lot but at some point, the characters and plot wore me out. 2ML definitely is one I could not stand from the start. ML I managed. But eventually, lying this much will only take one so far. And he also manipulated the FL. Then when it came to it, trusting the person she knew became her undoing.
