Loved your comment, really because I noticed all the facts that you listed, and I understand you, it's just that we have divergent opinions about the boundaries between Boys Love and Bromance. Moreover somebody told me that it has been aired in Taiwan what made my mind wander and wonder why and how that series ended that way. They have had almost two years to perfect it and still aired it with all the gaps. Mystery.
Perhaps that if it was said from the start that the series would be a Bromance, I'd have thought that it tends to be a little more BL but as it was tagged as BL I thought that the BL side would be more obvious that's why I have taken it as a blow.
And where it gets a little tricky is that I have prefered to put the novel aside and consider the scenes from a more neutral side. And my opinion can't be biased because I started reading the novel only after having watched the 15 first episodes so my first impression was not corrupted by the novel.
As you say it it's a pity, we all wanted it to be a tad more "perfect" but that will remain a dream.

You are right on that fact, but honestly we can't compare the novel to the series. The novel is well written and harmonious while the series is filled with gaps. The last episodes were discordant and screwed up in comparison with the first ones. Concretely what I meant is that they did not display all the potential of the plot. I have read only half of the novel but I am sure that it can't be as much disappointing as this series at the executive level.
Once more we can't judge a show episode by episode, this is why I can only state that there is a blatant imbalance between the beginning and the ending. For you who read the novel I can understand that everything sounds familiar to you, but for the others who have read only half or nothing, we can only notice the flaws and question why.
Ps: For what you suppose to be a confession, I think that "I love you" and "I want to be with you" are genderless and impersonal just as the feeling itself. We can say that to family, friends, ourselves, objects, pets and even enemies if we want to coax them - why not - so we can't use it to prove the BL character of the series.
Hard to say for someone like me who has really liked Advance Bravely a lot, but I prefer Addicted that has been banned and kept its myth intact rather than this beautiful disaster.
Yes that series was great and made a lot of people totally addicted. But I think that it was evident that the series couldn't be identical to the noval because of some scenes that even a Taiwanese version couldn't include. However it's true that making all that fuss because of the virtual love of two men is way exagerated. Hope things will improve in the future, and that those wise governments will start censoring hatred, murders and drugs in place of censoring love.
Me too. It's obvious that Xia Yu Hao and Kang Chan have also the same personality while being already similar physically. Moreover both had a school transfer and have a bad reputation. I can't deny that it's bothering me because I keep thinking of The Legendary Lackey while watching it lol
I had the same interrogation but I think that I will continue the reading, because the novel is really good. I consider it as a cure for that disenchantment.
Watched the first episode ... not bad, it reminds me of "The Legendary Lackey" a bit due to Kang Chan (Lee Ji-Hoon) and Xia Yu Hao's resemblance, and some other details.
Of course not, but the scene was a waste of time. It was as if they did not know how to end the series and pulled that ''well episode'' out of nowhere. With all the gaps in the storyline, the ending sounded weird to me :/
Watched the episode 30 again (Just to be sure), and what do I have to say ? My liking for the series is no longer as great as it was months ago and it has nothing to do with the brotherhood matter -_-
The series had the best start, making so many people dream, but it slowly started to derail (from the episode 18, for me) before ending in the most awkward way. The last episode was the last straw.
Did they have to make it end that way? I saw much better endings for bromance series. Even if it had to be a bromance (because that's what it is for me), at least they could make it longer and give it a better ending. And hell, why did they have to put Xia Yao in a well ? That's absurd !!!
And the passage when the worker dialled Yuan Zong's number was the most unconvincing scene of that disastrous last episode. It would have been - perhaps - better if they have made Yuan Zong dial by chance Xia Yao's number instead, and then the workers would have found the cellphone and informed him. But still that "well scene" would remain indigestible to me.
Now, all that I can say is that the storyline is not faithful to the plot, and the plot itself kept its mystery, unfortunately. I understand the pressure that the crew went through, but I can't applaud; That's definitely not a reason to release a botched work. It's a total disrespect for the viewers and a dishonour for the 7th art.
That's the ultimate comment I can make, and, of course, I respect everyone's opinions. Time for me to close the "Advance Bravely" chapter.
Just watched the episode 29 and the "long spoiler" of the 30th. I hope there would be an uncut version. I don't care about the intimate scenes, I just want a more complete version and a storyline that's faithful to the plot, with no gaps. I felt that the ten last episodes were botched and that's what I liked the less.
I don't think so, because the stories aren't linked. But, if it may help you, with the benefit of hindsight, I'd…
Yes, Right or Wrong is great and heart-warming. The second part of HIStory 2 : 'Boundary Crossing' is coming too, I saw that it will be aired from March 6th. I wonder if it will be as great as Obsessed & Right or Wrong :D
Honestly, Obsessed is still my favorite even though I prefer Right or Wrong's storyline !!!

I'm glad my comment helped you and that you liked Obsessed, the symbiosis between the leading actors is unique and makes people obsessed just like it's foretold in the title :D

I did not know that there would be a Taiwanese version for Addicted but that can only be a godsend for all our prayers :D

But the shows seem dissimilar in the core, what's good *(^_^)*

The episode is not subbed yet but I had no patience to wait :/
