Then he should swing his a** back to her and watch her like he promised :(
Donāt get me started there. š I change my mind everyday but I think it has the meaning I mentioned in my review ( feel free to read) and in short: he thinks itās an act of love to just leave her behind and let her be š„²
Hey my friend. Glad you enjoyed the show. Itās my new favorite ā even though I cried like an idiot. Why do…
You made me laugh haha. I dont mind the kisses ā¦damn. Finally an actress who knows how to use her lips lol ( she clearly convinced us how Monju was starving )
Big budget production and the money was well spent. I gave it 9.5 even though I didn't understand why the ML had…
Hey my friend. Glad you enjoyed the show. Itās my new favorite ā even though I cried like an idiot. Why do you think heās dead? What did you mean by ājust because he had someone worth dying for doesnāt mean he had to dieā?
Was it because of his voice when he tells the grandma he wanted to dream forever? I took that (or maybe I just hope thatās what it meant) as him never wanting to stop being there for that woman ā to keep existing for her, to always be someone who could die for her if needed as in always dreaming.
But Iām really curious about your interpretation of the ending. I shared mine in my review, though I might be completely wrong (hopefully!). Without that ending, it wouldāve been a 10/10 for me.
Okay hereās the deal with The Tempest. That ending stirred up more chaos than a full-blown typhoon. It felt…
Thatās an interesting perspective I havenāt really heard before. It actually took me five days just to decide whether that scene in the desert was a dream sequence or not⦠shibal haha.Iām still not entirely sure.In one of the episodes, he did mention that he wanted to take her there ā to the Gobi Desert.Maybe he āleftā her there symbolically with that necklace.Only God and the creators know for sure.Anyway, I really like that 180-degree turn ā from promising to stand behind her, to⦠not. She suffers, waits, prays in church for her love to return, and then ends up standing there, smiling, strong, and becoming president. Which is beautiful in a way, because her ex-husband was selfish, while Sanho always believed in her and supported her, even when he wanted to run away with her. What really broke my heart was the moment he realized she had planted a bug in his necklace. You could see how much that hurt him ā even though heās seen as a hero in the U.S., in South Korea heāll probably always be viewed as a spy because of the Upload. (I mean, come on ā she couldāve at least shown a bit more effort to prove he wasnāt!) what also pissed me off was that we never know what it was he told her whilst the ship was about to explode š Do you know how long it usually takes to find out whether there will be another season?anyways thanks for chatting haha

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I really enjoyed reading your review, too. Your thoughts on the ending are quite similar to mine ā I actually explained a bit more about it in another review. I truly loved the series.
A lot of people interpret the open door as a sign that heās still alive and that he consciously chose to say goodbye forever. But that just makes absolutely no sense. And if that really was the intention, then unfortunately itās just poorly written by the creators ā because he was always portrayed as someone who would do anything to protect her.
It just doesnāt fit his character to decide to completely let her go and stay behind in the desert. At the very least, he wouldāve stayed close enough to step in if needed. Or maybe Iām just completely misreading everything š
Acting 8/10? Nahhh the acting n chemistry is insane and you donāt really und that in other k dramas. Youāre right. The story didnāt add up but still the actors is 10/10
If you're wondering if he died, no, he didnāt. The gates of the control room was open and it was empty. His…
This "The only reason seeing him in the desert wasnāt as clear cut was only because earlier they had shown her husband telling her about his son whilst she was reading the letter."
Why y'all aren't talking about the line - "if I have eight minutes to live, I want to spend all eight of them…
It was beautiful, but they donāt deserve an award because they ruined the picture of him by him staying in the desert and burying her necklace as in letting her go completely that doesnāt make sense because he always promised to be there
I just have a question, why did he bury the necklace? If I were him I'd want to keep it on me. Unless it has a…
Poorly written. For eight and a half episodes, they portrayed him as the man who would do anything to stand behind her and protect her. He even encouraged her not to run away with him and promised to keep supporting her.
And then, in the end, they decide he buries the necklace ā the only thing he had left of her ā effectively saying a final goodbye and leaving her completely broken.
What I understood is that San-Ho died in the explosion, but some viewers just donāt want to believe it. š…
I was hoping that the desert scene was just her imagination, but it canāt be. She never saw him pick up the necklace again after she threw it away ā that scene after she found out about her ex-husbandās affair, when she tossed it aside.
So that makes the ending even worse. The creators clearly decided that he chose to say a final goodbye ā thatās why he buries the necklace in the place he once dreamed of taking her. And thatās such a terrible ending, because those two loved each other so deeply, and he always promised to watch over her and stay close to her. and then decided to broke his promise. okay ?
LoL š.. it hurts but he had to go so she can fulfill her dream
he didnāt have to leave her for good. also heās considered a hero in the US. why would he harm her if heās with her or at least watching her from a far ? rather sit in the desert ? it doesnāt add up to everything heās said and done before. itās bad writing. sheās broken.
I don't know what's sadder, that he died or that he left her alone with a broken heart.
Definitely part 2. Seriously it just doesnāt make sense after all he did and said. But since she doesnāt know he picked up the necklace when she threw it away it means the scene in the desert wasnāt her imagination and him saying goodbye.

I guess we just need a second season so we can die in peace š
Whatās your take on the desert/necklace scene ?
