Yes. I wish it could be the main poster.
Yes, 100%. This one and the other one of just the two of them are my favourites. So simple, but really powerful.

Person Zhao Jin Mai
Yes she has mostly been filming movies. She is rumoured to film a historical drama with Wang Anyu this month 🀞
Should find out a bit earlier (very soon). They'll typically be spotted attending a pre-filming reading.

Title Love for You
10 & 11. How well acted was that kiss scene. I love an intimate scene that goes far beyond merely being fan-service. You could feel the overwhelming and complex emotions between them. 10/10 🎭πŸ”₯

Thoughts πŸ€”...

People are correctly pointing out inconsistencies in concern / outrage. Many who voice concerns regarding this lead role have FOF and MJTY on their completed dramas list. In both those dramas, Ai Mi was paired with the wonderful Zuo Ye, seven years her senior. Deep affection was portrayed in both. So, they are simply asking where was the protesting then? Now, that doesn't necessarily apply to everyone.

What I will say about her roles opposite ZY, and this one with HMH, is that there is great cinematic power in the implied. Difficult subject matter, tastefully done. Ai Mi's a phenomenally talented young actress and these complex themes are well within her range. I'm a huge fan of old Hollywood, which was an era under strict moral guidelines (Hays Code), where they mastered the art of the implied. Films with very dark tones that told a story in an intensely focused way, not bogged down by unnecessary distractions. They were tastefully done and that allowed a much larger audience to view them comfortably. The lead up, the implied event, and the aftermath which they delivered via powerful acting.

Later, Hollywood shifted ideologically and started to focus on recreating the event. If the story involved something like rape, old Hollywood would briefly imply it and then move to the aftermath. New Hollywood decided that the audience needed to witness and confront the event in graphic, often vulgar detail. It got distracted and lingered in uncomfortable spaces. Films that prioritise graphic detail will always have limited reach. The advantage of Cdrama, like old Hollywood, lies in the fact that Ai Mi, with her impressive young acting talent, can take on challenging roles that fit her skill level. She can do it safely knowing that the industry has strict protections in place and that vulgar and compromising scenes won't be tolerated and thrust upon her. She can test herself and further her development safe in the knowledge that the industry has her best interest at heart.

It would be a waste for Ai Mi to spend her time simply doing youth dramas about studying for the Gaokao. None of the roles she's taken has romance as the primary focus. It's simply a secondary component.

Just something to keep in mind.

It's funny how deadly silent they are on other pages. But everytime we get any update about kttph, they will jump…
Amen, it's so tiresome. On a positive note, I'm really happy to see many posters pushing back, coming out in defence of this drama, and expressing their excitement. Despite the naysayers, this is going to be a fun and fast-moving comment section πŸ₯°.

All I really need is Ai Mi - they don't need to give anything more and I'll be there but everything else only…
She always stands out no matter how small the role. She takes her acting seriously, but never forgets to have fun. Wishing for her dramas and movie to be a great success as she heads into her first year at the Beijing Film Academy. She works so hard and always has time for her fans. Humble, hard-working, and kind. You just can't dislike this girl. She's so lovely. I'll always cheer her on.

She's so good. I've been waiting for this moment for a long time. I simply adore her acting. Her eyes say more than any dialogue ever could πŸ₯°. She's going to have a great birthday because her movie "Kung Fu Soccer" is going to be released on the 11th, too πŸ‘.

I love the dynamic between this pairing. I don't care what anyone says. Hou Minghao giving us a raw and emotionally powerful performance, while simultaneously unlocking "God of War: Mode" is worth the price of admission alone. But, throw in the little acting wunderkind Ai Mi to add her touch of magic, and it's just too much. I think I'm about to burst with excitement. LET'S GO!!! πŸ’™βš”οΈπŸŽβ€οΈ

honestly... I really hope that there aren't any kiss scenes between the main characters WHO THOUGHT TO CAST AIMI???(not…
Ai Mi replaced Tian Tian. This was always the casting dynamic they wanted. There are reuters galore capturing the bts atmosphere, and a new trailer a bit down the page. Their deep connection will be conveyed via powerful acting, beautifully crafted scenes, and intense looks. Their eyes will tell their story of love. They won't be slobbering over each other. Personally, I find it refreshing.

100% the health of the artists comes first.

October is a great time. It'll be springtime where I live. My favourite season. Having a LYX drama to watch will make it all the more perfect.

Tbh, I'm fine with minimal, or even no romantic components. It's actually one of the distracting aspects in multi-mystery costume dramas that tend to let them down. I'm a big time modern crime Cdrama watcher. I adore the genre. I used to think costume crime / mystery dramas would be even better, but the truth is often they're not. Modern crime is intensely focused, superbly acted, and fast-paced. The costume variety tends to get distracted and wander all over the place. Lotus Casebook offset this with an amazing dynamic / chemistry between the lead trio. It was just so much fun. Similar to the one LYX had in WOF with his co-stars. Simply special. That extra element goes a long way. I wouldn't be surprised if similar occurs in SP. Luo Yunxi, after all, tends to bring out the best in his co-stars. And superbly acted and LYX always go hand in hand. Will sneakily keep my eye on Shen Yujie, too. She's been landing a lot of lead roles lately. I need to see what all the fuss is about. Is she a potential C-ent shooting star? So, there's a lot to look forward to. I can't wait.

I tend to agree. However, possibly unique to film / television, I won't say it's essential. Film has a wonderful ability to take the most simple concepts and make them utterly enthralling. Layering in the performance, not the writing. If KTTPH was stripped back conceptually to just the bare bones, leaving only Neo, his horse, his sword, his ferocity, and an element of revenge. I'd wager you'd still have the makings of a grand epic. I'm glad they didn't, for obvious reasons, but film / TV is funny like that. You don't necessarily need a lot to succeed.
