Wow! His Cnetz fans are raging mad at this potential project. They absolutely hate it. It's understandable, it…
YZ always makes trouble for his stars. I feel doubly bad about this situation. I support WXY's domestic fans 100% in trying to block this career pothole of a project. It will provide absolutely no benefit to him. But I also feel so bad for Zhao Qing getting dragged into this mess. She's really been growing on me lately as an actress. I remember watching "Scent of Time". I really wanted to watch it to see the phenomenally charismatic and gifted WXY at the helm, and also the little acting dynamo Ai Mi in support. Zhao Qing was the 2FL. I didn't like what I saw from ZQ, she just seemed off, and at times struggled to find the right expressions. I've seen her multiple times since, and to be honest, she's getting better and better. I looked into it further, and she didn't go to a prestigious acting school like Xingyue (Central Academy of Drama). She's an on-the-job learner. And, by the looks of her improvement, she's been working very hard. I really respect that. I even added her upcoming drama to my WL. It's just a sad story for both actors, as they are at different points in their careers. Wang Xingyue is ready to challenge himself and push for acclaim. ZQ is hungry and looking for opportunities to further develop. Even a smaller shared lead role opposite WXY would be great for her to learn from and progress. If it was a better quality project, I think everyone would be happy. This particular project only seems to benefit ZQ's development. And while I want her to succeed, it can't come at the expense of WXY.

It really looks like they are going to drag him into another time wasting drama that does nothing for his career π. His C-net fans are fighting hard, but I don't like their chances.
I have watched all of her projects. Ok fr can we discuss, whom among all her costars had the best chemistry with…
On-screen, I'd go with SWL. That was her most mature and beautiful match-up. But don't be surprised if she just keeps getting better and better with her co-stars as future roles match her age better.
Off-screen / bts, I just loved her moments with Wu Lei. I usually don't get sucked into shipping an on-screen couple, but it was extremely tempting with this delightful pair...
Sending all my energy to make "Irreplaceable" happen in July. I've been running a lean and disciplined WL for the past couple of months, watching just one drama at a time. I'm ready for a crazy-hectic overload month. I want ZJM to be a part of it so bad π€ππ€...
Any news when it will be aired if not 25th July? I was so excited but now we are not sure about the date π₯²
It couldn't possibly drop in early July, could it?
I've been keeping track of three dramas, including KTTPH, that are potentially set to air on IQIYI in July. One of the IQIYI exclusives that was marked to air in early July has slipped back to August due to a scheduling issue where the ML is unavailable for promotion. That leaves KTTPH as the only IQIYI exclusive remaining; the other drama seems to be a joint IQIYI / Tencent production. Rumours on that drama page suggest it will get the early spot, but I was wondering if IQIYI might throw us a curveball and lead with KTTPH.

Returning to this thought with a new insight π...
I'm currently binge-watching the recently aired drama "The Lead" with Liu Haocun (@33/48). God, I absolutely love this drama. Btw, that's the very same LHC that was getting dumped on here on MDL, because no kiss scene means you can act. Lol. A smash-hit purely dramatic non-idol masterpiece that dispels any notion of doubt regarding her outstanding dramatic acting abilities. She is simply a pleasure to watch. I considered it a privilege.
You mentioned the concept of "Career fans." If that's someone who just wants the best for an actor and wants them to use their talent to achieve the heights they are capable of. Well, consider me a career fan.
Every time I watch dramas like "The Lead" or "Eight Hundred," I think of WXY. He always pops into my brain. I want these types of roles for him. I yearn for him to have them. He often does so much with so little. To see him in a role like the productions listed above, unrestrained, intimate (just him and the camera), taking us on a journey through an emotional landscape. I simply need to see this. I know we'll get a taste with "Just Fight," but I'm greedy. I want more, lots more. I really feel like this is the space he belongs.
But, don't get me wrong. I'm still super excited about his other upcoming dramas...
ALC because it presents him with an opportunity to prove his versatility and return to modern romance after being chased away from the genre earlier in his career. Do I want him to spend a lot of time there? Of course not. But it's great to have this fluff option available when he needs a recharge and wants to take on a fun lighter project.
LIRD because it offers him a chance to showcase a combination of heroism, comedy, and romantic chemistry. The reuters were insane and the set so energetic and lively. One of the best I've seen. Whether it was WXY bringing the intensity in combat (often on horseback) or him bouncing electricity off of XRH, each day on-set was special. Fingers crossed for July. I can't wait
I just believe real dramatic acting is his calling. Throw in a little action and romance, too. Just for fun π.
Anyone know what happened to this girl? She's really dropped off the radar. Why is she doing Micro / Short dramas now? I remember there was a bit of a scandal related to personal relationships and some leaked private material. However, I didn't think the issue was considered that bad. HLX is just so quiet now on the drama front and I don't really understand why.
PS... No shade to short / micro-dramas. I watch and enjoy them, too. I just didn't expect HLX to be doing them.
I'm still nervous of delays. I need this kind of reassurance π₯°...
