And not just LHY's. It's like they have some beef with costume dramas in general 🙃I do feel they'll air it…
Yeah, it looks like Our Generation is a lock for next month. But, there seems to be a possibility of a fast-track and it being released earlier in the month, right after ITNOJ. On The Immortal Ascension page there is a suggestion that it will be the drama to slot into the late July spot. I believe TIA has been delayed multiple times, too. So, HS fans are not alone. Youku is driving everyone crazy...
Here's a list of the fanbases currently being given the runaround by Youku...

Yes, I remember that. A fan war erupts in the lead up to nearly every drama now. I think it was avoided in Wanted Detective and Love in Red Dust. Perhaps the FLs in those dramas don't have a combative fanbase. But rather the supportive kind.

Lol. Agreed. Why can't they just get along and be excited about good collaborations and high-quality shows. But, no, Weibo is always blowing up into fan wars over the smallest things. If Weibo was an actual geographical region on the map, it would be in a constant state of tension and war. I remember a three-way battle royal involving Linghe fans, Yuxiao fans, and Xingyue fans. Impressive stuff. I just lurk for drama info and to keep tabs on my favourite actors.
On a side note, during these tensions, this emoji is often posted with WXY 👙. What do they mean by it?
Huangyang Tian Tian has been in the industry for about as long as Ai Mi. Both started as child actors, and both…
Me too. It has to go through the process. But hopefully, if there is no serious wrongdoing, she can recover the ground lost, and this will prove to be only a minor setback. She is without a doubt one of the standouts from the 05 group. I've seen a bts clip. I think it's from this drama, where she is being held underwater. She comes up gasping for air, it shows she really takes her acting seriously, and doesn't shy away from challenging scenes.
AiMi (my favourite) is another standout from that group. Deng Enxi (05) went first, Tian Tian (07) second, so you can expect AiMi's (08) push to begin very soon. I wish cdrama produced more sci-fi and adventure-type dramas for AiMi to cut her teeth on. High-quality youth / life dramas like Ray of Light would be good, too. But, it will likely be similar to Tian Tian's path in costume dramas, and controversy will follow due to her age.
She still appears in 28 and 29 so I don’t think we’re done with her yet.
I hope you enjoy it. Let me know if, in your opinion, it finished strongly? I'll avoid this CS until I've completed the show, but I am curious to find out if they recovered for the finale.
BTW, Feud is GOOD ACTORS CAN'T SAVE BAD SCRIPTS. Lulu has had a good year, though. Moonlight Mystique was great, and Northward was her Xiao Zhan in LOZH moment. Outstanding performance. And, even though many of us were really disappointed by Feud, it actually broke the 10K on IQIYI.
LHC is doing great in TSROIO. She has good chemistry with SWL. She's very talented and a terrific actress. Her…
Yes, SWL has done everything asked of him in TSROIO. It has been a superb performance. I'd love to see him in more of these types of roles. We've just got to hope Cdramaland appreciates TSROIO and has an incentive to make more. There's actually another charismatic leading man who I think would be perfect for this type of role, too. Cough! Cough! WXY 😏😁. Looks, charm, fit, strong, and athletic. Yeah, he ticks all the boxes.
PS... ARP was great in Moonlight Mystique if you haven't seen it. Another serious role. He really is a well-rounded actor.
I found it on YT. Hopefully the subs are good quality...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxU4Jg2aKA0
Yes, OWF has all the elements of an outstanding and deeply moving long-form drama. In the movie, we just get hit abruptly by past traumatic events, and that's that. An information dump to shock you rather than an emotional journey to draw you in and connect you to the story.

Thank you. It seems YZ is a master troll who has a talent for creating fans wars and stirring up trouble for publicity. I remember him being at the centre of a top billing fight between CZY and WJY fans recently, too. Has a any publicity is good publicity approach. Let's hope it goes ahead.

Lol. Yes, casting matters. It's funny, actors can't save a bad script, but they can ruin a good one.
TSROIO hit some turbulence towards the end. Hopefully, they right the ship and have a good landing. It deserves to finish well. Overall, it's been a great show. Far better than Feud. I won't be purchasing the express on this one, so I'll finish it at the regular rate. Since Youku makes you pay extra each new drama for the express, I'm quite selective about the shows I choose to purchase it on. I essentially have two lists when it comes to Youku. Shows on my wider WL and shows circled for the express purchase. I should find out in about a week how it finishes.

Yeah, initially, Leopard was good. Dark, mysterious with a sinister look and foreboding presence. I was really feeling it. At 27, it was a little bothersome, but I was still hopeful and enjoying the aesthetic. Then, at 28, it was simply too much butchered dialogue. They killed the mystique. After that, trailers 29 and 30 revealed it was entering the realms of farcical. That pointing and laughing scene was Power Rangers Tier. Lu Yuxiao speaks English with better elocution and tone of voice. And I don't believe LYX boasts about her bilingual abilities. Leopard is a strange casting choice considering they wanted her to talk so much.

There seems to be some weibo drama regarding this. Do some of his fans in China not want him to work with her again? I haven't seen Scent of Time. I want to watch it, and it's on my WL. But, it is almost impossible to find. For those that have seen it, were they good together? I saw an interview, and I saw some shorts. I thought they looked good with each other. But shorts can be misleading.

Korean is most probably her first language. I'm also assuming they wanted an English aspect in this drama. Perhaps to give it an authentic feel. Adventure stories often take you to exotic destinations (places where the world meets). So, they really had two options after casting her. (1) Dub over her with talented voice actors (both Mandarin and English) or (2) Limit her dialogue. They didn't have to limit her screen time, just the speaking requirement. If they used her better, it could've worked. But by giving her a large speaking role it is becoming a bit cartoonish.

Her look is good, and she is certainly menacing in combat. But her English is way too poor to have such a large speaking role. The creative team should've done a better job managing her. I've just seen the upcoming trailers, and the more she talks, the worse it gets. Sometimes less is more. The director needs to understand this.
I just wrapped up 28. It's weird that even the European-looking actors speak in bad broken English (of course, they could be non-English-speaking Europeans). I looked into the actress playing Leopard, and it says she is bilingual. She actually went to school in the US and holds British citizenship. I thought she was badly dubbed, but maybe it's her voice we hear speaking both Mandarin and English.
Her aesthetic is great, particularly without the sci-fi monocle. The let-down here is too much dialogue; her English is simply not good enough to carry such a large speaking role. The trailers for 29 and 30 were especially cringe 😬 with all that bad English being thrown about. They should've managed her better and gone with a less talk more action approach to her character. You can still be a great villain and not be the best actor. Schwarzenegger in The Terminator was a great example of this. Leopard should've been executed in a similar fashion. Mysterious and seemingly unstoppable.
