It's been more than a month since the finale aired and I still can't get the horrible taste of that garbage ending out of my mouth.

It was a 7.5 for me until the ending.... After the ending, it's an 8 :) It's self-explanatory that the past can't…
"t's self-explanatory that the past can't be changed if it had already happened"

then there shouldn't be a fantasy genre among the genres and the whole "Reborn" title of the drama makes zero sense and is false advertising.

So far I loved both episodes, they were funny and really entertaining which is all I look for in Dramas. also on a side note; how cute is Kwak Sun Young with those giant glasses??

I dont get it.HW is HW but HW is also DJ.HW was reborn as DJ to repent for killing him...but the person he killed…
100% agree, Time-travel is tricky to work into the plot no matter what budget you're working on or how fantastic of a writer you are.
But something fantastic that I've seen lately in some Korean Novels and Manhwas when they make use of the subject of Time-Travel or reincarnation is that they rather focus on the story, the character developments and developing the plot and either they don't mention the Time-travel or reincarnation at all or they simply pass it by with a simple statement and move on to the actual story that matters.

the author of the novel here did this as well which if the reception of the novel is any indication it was received well by the audience, but the production team and by extension the screen-writer here tried to explain away the time-travel and not only did they spend too much time on it, time that the plot and characters needed, they in the end failed to explain it and wasted too much time and had to resort to deus ex machinas and plot holes to finish a rushed ending.

Is it trash ending because they give the villain the redemption arc?
to be honest I don't know what his problem is but don't let it bother you.

I agree with your assessment of the ending too, it changed too suddenly for it to make sense, it seemed like the story didn't have a clear plan and outline from the beginning as if they had written the first episode without any thought about the ending because if this was planned then they wouldn't have had YHW get shot in the head and recover.

All of the plot-holes could have been fixed if this sort of ending was planned properly from the beginning but it seemed abrupt and without much thinking.

Then how can they both exist in the same lifetime??
Don't think too much on it, the writer tried to change some core elements of the story from the Novel without making sure it makes sense or can fit in the already existing story, and by doing that made a mess full of plot-holes and unanswered questions, and it wasn't just the ending that had issues, people including me had questions about a bunch of stuff like both JDJ and YHW being alive at the same time and having the same face but we taught that in the ending we'll get some answers, that's why there was so much pressure on the finale to be good, but the writer failed and couldn't explain her changes to the story and had to use deus ex machinas which is a testament to bad writing.

read the Manhwa, it's finished in English and it has a much better narrative and is much more engaging than this…
I wish for a season 2 as well, I loved the drama and would love to see these characters again but it is highly unlikely that'll happen and until it does this dramas story is unfinished.

Nice to see there are still people out there that can tell when a writer fumbles an ending.
the ending in RR just makes everything meaningless, it's so bad, it's like as if we've seen all of the Harry Potter movies and in the last one Harry wakes up from a decades long coma and finds out that everything was in his head that everything we've seen was pointless.
Or to watch all seasons of the walking dead and in the last episode of the last season the sheriff wakes up from the coma to see that there are no zombies and everything was in his head.
It's the cheapest ending possible.

I know all that, but the production team made the wrong choice.

Kdramas rarely get a second season and since this one didn't have a plan for one they should have stuck to a single season story like the Manhwas instead of leaving the audience confused with only one season of the Novel.

This show really aged well. It's one of the best romance dramas to rewatch this time of the year.
is it happy ending for the two main leads??
I'm in a depressed place right now so it's not really good for me to watch sad or depressing or tragedy stuff, is this happy?

Nope!
It's trash because the writer created so many plot-holes and unanswered questions instead of trying to wrap up the finale as a coherent ending.
on top of that the ending undid everything that had happened in the previous episodes making them meaningless and therefore making the audience feel as though they had wasted their time.
On top of that the ending was full of deus ex machinas, the writer did so many things without logic and created an illogical confusing mess that I'm sure even she can't make sense of.

The ending reminds me of golden spoon . TBH only again my life's lee jun ki perfectly changed his life through…
that's because the writer in again my life stayed true to the Manwas story, sure there were changes here and there and I was angry about some of them too but in total it was a success and a solid 8/10 for me.

That's because you're trying to make sense out of nonsense, it can't be done, just consider the ending as trash…
that's because in the novel Hyun Woo doesn't exist anymore once Do Joon exists in the timeline, and since the story is mostly form the novel, it doesn't fit in the story, the writer tried to make it fit but she failed creating a trash ending.
