This was such a beautiful story—a tale of sisterhood, life struggles, and love. It had a 'slice of life' feel at certain points. The direction and cinematography are immaculate. If you are looking for a good, lengthy drama full of meaningful scenes and beautiful messages of female empowerment, this is worth watching.

I can't speak for everyone, but this drama is a masterpiece in my eyes. I am not quite finished with it, but I easily give it a 9, and hopefully a 9.5 when I complete it. If you enjoy historical fiction/enemies-to-lovers, this is right up your alley.
On episode 10. Hands down the best drama of 2025, and among the best dramas that I've seen. And I have seen a generous amount. The actors, cinematography, costumes, and script (among many other things) are phenomenal. I have not finished it, but I know I will not be disappointed. So glad I picked this up!

Oh my God, I didn't even realize! I LOVED Legend of Shen Li, and when I picked this up, I couldn't help but feel there were some strong similarities in approach and style. Now I know why! This director keeps making masterpieces one after another. 👏🤧

Unfortunately, her character falls most miserably into the 'evil-mother-in-law trope,' but it works very well with the story, so I'm not complaining, lol!
