I always believe in karma. One way or another, the person that is ruthless such as the marquis will have his own retribution. I can feel his hatred towards the marquis when he confronted him in prison but that hatred & revenge will always have unintended consequences on him as a kind person. Instead of being happy with getting rid of his first enemy, he is tormented at the scene of ZZX killing his own father. This does show that he is a good person & conflicted by the means that he used (ZZX) to get his revenge.

Whilst I understand Zhanghai’s sufferings of loosing his family massacred by the marquis, i personally don’t see revenge as a solution for ZH. He said it himself, he ended up destroying someone else’s family. You will always with regrets for hurting someone else.

Pls be patient, it’s getting interesting with quite a bit of actions & suspenses.

No kiss scene so far but hopefully soon.

Exactly my thoughts so I had to stop watching mid ep 21 & wait till the end if she changes her behaviour or not. I come here for the comments to confirm my feelings.

According to Chinese tradition at the time, when a woman is married off to her husband she will no longer be part of her own family unless she gets divorced. In ep 21, that lady lost her husband but still remains in her husband’s family.

I love Xiwen & her death breaks my heart but I will keep watching the drama as I want Hayan & YunXi to expose her evil father & avenge for Xiwen’s death. I know it is a rollercoaster for Hayan but I want to see the evil people to be punished.

LOL, maybe. I love Si Jin but this drama is one of my favourite so far. The storyline is very engaging and the actors are great.

It will be heartbreaking to watch Xiwen being stabbed by Shiyang & died afterwards . I will miss Xiwen dearly. She is the star of the show when she in whatever scenes.

I think it is tough for Hayan as she wants to experience her mother’s love after so many years. She did not realise that Shiyang is such a monster. I think upon her mum death, Hayan will decide to marry Yunxi to join force to bring her fake father down.
