Please please please can someone spoil me? I keep seeing conflicting posts about the ending, and need to know…
LQJ was amnestied by the new emperor after 3 years or so being in prison & got out to re-join the Yu army. He was sent back to their hometown to investigate on the new Japanese ink maker in town. LZ was cold with him at first but later on joined forces together with all the ink makers in huizhou to make a new type of ink to compete with the Japanese ink. Li inks & all their friends in makers won the new ink competition. Her 8th grandpa died, LQJ told LZ that he still loves her & vice versa. They got back together but unfortunately LQJ got called back to the arm6 to fight against the uprisings. The ending scene was LZ looking over a beautiful lake with LQJ coming back to her. The way the scene was shown was like LZ was in a dream that LQJ would return to her but it was not a reality , hence I thought this ending was weird.
I don't like the ending I enjoyed learning about the ink nothing else the ML and his story should not have existed…
Agreed, what kind of ending is this? They spent so much time wasting on the internal politics within the li family especially with that 4th aunt to give us the ending?
I understand from some Chinese fans that the 8th grandpa & the Luo aunt were sweethearts & both are talented ink makers in both families. The luo & liās feud didnāt allow them to get married. Does anyone know about their past or perhaps we will learn in future episodes?
The fall of Tian family will start in ep 36, what will be the next story for another 6 ep? Will it be as rumored…
The Tianās downfall may drag on to Ep 37-38, who knows. Then, the war with Japan will break out so LWJ may have to join the army again to go to fight..
Agreed! just when i thought the plot is getting along fine for the Li's family and the ML, the script writer has…
Agreed, it gets on my nerves to watch the ML being found out by wuās people that he was following TBC and now being investigated by Wu. I thought the sister was a big merchant that knew all the tricks? Why did the scriptwriters have to show the ML openly going after TBC & provoking him in Najing instead of setting traps behind the scene by sending someone in that drinking party? What happened to all his smart plans to trick & fail TBC at the beginning? On another note, in ep 31 I thought it was sweet that ML said he has always had LZ in his heart. The flash back was when he wanted to help her when the 8th branch got removed from the familyās tree but he dad wanted to move to Nanjing at the time.
Just saw the preview of episode 33 and TBC has grown stronger... he has allies... so why doesn't LWS have allies…
Exactly, the scriptwriters may hopefully have some insight in later episodes. The way they wrote about the 4th aunt ending is questionable. She has reappeared in ep 32 at the 7th grandmaās funeral. Will she redeem herself or will she be on the forever vengeance against LZ? Rong hua may be the person that will help LZ against the corruption & evil schemes of her own brother TBC.
I am anxious about the personality change of Rong Hua...what are you guys thoughts?
Rong Hua knows that none of family members will stand up for her as her father has always been scheming to arrange her marriage with officials to ensure that his business interests remain protected. Given that the guy that she was married to passed away, her only way to survive & protect her family business is to serve the high officials/riyals. I will not be surprised if she turns against LZ and even her own family to gain favours from the court people.
The fourth aunt's revenge was unwarranted. She relentlessly persecuted the innocent FL and the family. What happened…
Agreed, I feel the same. The whole Li family is good at blaming & punishing the 8th branch but did not complain about the 4 th aunt evil schemes, or when uncle JD nearly bankrupted their family by burning the ink shops or the Li Decai but the big aunt was so quick at requesting the elders to come to remove her niece LZ, the only one capable of that family. The 7th grandma was washing her hands off to let LZ deal with the 4th aunt was a bit too much for me.
