I am waiting for Spring of the Blade/Mo Li/Overdo whichever comes early hehe! I am not into xianxia/wuxia or any of the supernatural stuff so currently airing dramas do not interest me!
I suspect Prime Minister may try to do something to sabotage FL+ML relationship because they keep mentioning that…
True exactly. I am not one of them who is just obsessed with leads you know. I love the supporting cast, they make the drama what it is. Like the SFL here, has a role, she is power obsessed she is doing something for her goals. I want Steve Noh's character to be like that as well. Maybe fighting for the benefit of the country, trying to protect FL and ML. Not just a simp towards FL.
More than being forced I think she herself didn't want to marry a guy who wasn't the heir to the throne. She seems…
I really like her character though villain wise, I hope we don't get any stupid redemption track. Let her be power obsessed and get defeated in the end.
I just agree with your review. I absolutely think the marriage contract troupe is so bland and not convincing…
I agree to you. But she doesn't think like that. She isn't satisfied with the money/power she has now, she wants more, she wants to be the head of the Castle Group after her father. She thinks her father supports his legitimate son, firstly because of the gender and legal status but more so because he has married someone with immense power even though her brother is dumb makes bad decisions in business. Her sister in law comes from a very powerful family. That is why she thinks if she marries someone with more superior power/lineage, she might get a chance to inherit the company, she is way more talented in business than her brother. Plus remember Queen Dowager said any business group whose heads are close to Grand Prince, receive funding, respect, backing of shareholders over others, hence business conglomerates are always trying to butter Grand Prince. FL thinks if she becomes his wife, shareholders in her father's company would support her in place of her useless brother.
I believe the Queen Mother loved Yi An but was forced to marry the King due to her family's lineage of four generations…
More than being forced I think she herself didn't want to marry a guy who wasn't the heir to the throne. She seems too power obsessed, even her love for her son comes second, so ML must come even later.
Didn’t she win Best New Entrepreneur? That implies to me that her cosmetics business is her own. Or, is that…
I think the company she heads might be a part of the original parent company headed by her father. Her brother is the director there. She on the other hands leads another company, but I think it was mentioned its part of Castle Group, like I think its named castle beauty. Yup she struggled to make it what it is, but the initial funding seems to have come from her father. Plus when her sister in law called her to force that arranged date, she said father in law is threatening to close Castle Beauty, to in turn threaten FL into going to that date.

I did not watch positively yours, but I hated the screen time given to the SML in Our Universe as well, it was stretched with no requirement. Even in Dynamite Kiss. I absolutely love Steve Noh so I wish him to be a good SML who has things to do rather than just following and obsessing over FL.
I don't even pity the FL, yeah she faced some criticism, but she as such doesn't lack anything. Her father and…
Haha. I don't think she was lying though. Art Galleries and artifacts are used by conglomerates for his purpose, many common thing in real world. There is actually lack of transparency, subjective pricing and minimal regulation in such places. Plus she really genuine to him at that time. I felt she was just saying the truth. From her position, such few things she does isn't wrong.

Yup kdramas always had them. So I hope this would be a little different considering SFL is already very power obsessed, so I have no hope from her, but SML is a friend of both the leads. Lets see.

She is. But haha I doubt she has not kept a second plan for that. Remember she told her arranged date how the art thing was only for money laundering lol. With the amount of profit and success she has received I think she has other businesses or ways for herself. Like she is too smart. But I do agree to you. Ots just that she never plays victim, always gives back to people, behaves in a way that I am always awed by, hence I don't pity her.
No matter how hard I think, I can't find a logical reason to pity the ML. The FL is hella rich but is treated…
I don't even pity the FL, yeah she faced some criticism, but she as such doesn't lack anything. Her father and brother are not nice to her, but they don't harm her as such. Neither she is deeply attached to any of them to face a betrayal. She is strong, minds her own business and gives it back to people. She is enjoying her life trying to gain more power. ML same, he can choose to go away but isn't able to due to his nephew whom he likes. He doesn't even want the throne or power as such. A little trauma/ threat to his life maybe but its not the focus as of now. Both FL and ML aren't pitiable characters as such from my perspective. But yes they lack love from families. They do not have anyone of their own, there is nothing like family to them. That is why they would turn to each other to fill that space.
FL's character is the one I really enjoy. Yup she is sometimes annoying but I like that in her. She is selfish, greedy, power obsessed, self centered, powerful and rich. She is everything I always wanted a FL to be, but generally it would be a character of SFL who later turned evil. So I am glad our FL is everything of that but not evil. I absolutely love her. I really enjoy her scenes with her secretary.
I completely love Steve Noh. Its just that I really wish he and the leads remain friends, I get disgusted by stretched out love triangles. Like I am speculating he wouldn't turn evil, but some disruptions can be expected in such a scenario also going by the trailer. Like FL really likes him as a friend, is sweet and natural with him without any tactics, I like their scenes. So them being friends throughout since childhood to adulthood without feelings, is something I consider normal. Like genuine friendships between different genders, is a trope I really like, but kdramas don't do that often.
Okay off topic, but I saw a small Vincenzo reunion of the two office attendants of FL in episode 2, and it made me so happy. Also I did not expect Namjun here, I really liked how he rejected her. Yup polite and straightforward.
