The script has been changed a lot, many scenes cut, and many scenes added to make it a proper drama adaptation. The ML is still a red flag but he isn't so bad like the one in the novel. The drama plot is still a messy, just like other Republican dramas, but differs from the novel a little, so many said during filming, that's it no use to read the novel as such, except if anyone loves reading.
Yup it should be, but now I like to keep expectations minimal, so that I don't jinx it, or get disappointed later, haha. This and Heyu and Landi's drama as well. That's going to film in Hengdian from next week. And Anyu and Jinmai are also currently filming one. But currently C-ent is not doing very well, not much profits, they say. They cannot keep up with the AI short drama market, weird they brought it on themselves. Costume dramas are more expensive than other genres. They are trying the new 16 episode version dramas these days as well. People' attention span is reducing. Actually everyone did so many costume dramas continuously, they are trying different genres as well. I hope they film more costume dramas, my favourite genre honestly.

I did not read the novel, this is just what I know through comments and fellow fans. ML is a big red flag and playboy. FL is kind of submissive. They have a toxic relationship, but they don't get married. They separate, FL has a son. Later ML marries SFL because he thought FL died. FL later dies and their son is killed by ML, who did not know it was their son. Its very messy, very toxic novel. But the writers changed a lot, for the drama, to make it a lot less toxic. The Reuters show them getting married, happy with their son, and a lot of war scenes. But initially they do have a toxic relationship, though ML's character has been toned down to fit a drama narrative. But I don't know anything more than this.
The parallel universe is just his dreams, he will survive by the given clue that his loved ones that passed away…
Right. But then they should have at least shown him trying to stand if not a hospital glimpse. Nothing, they showed nothing. Saw his fam, saw a beautiful dream, end. Its an open ending, but from my perception because they showed nothing after it, no one coming to save him, I feel he died.

Last year I was so happy with Overdo and TLOA reuters, nope I don't want it anymore, enough trauma for lifetime.
