Are different genres so we can not compare. TLP was excellent for Xanxia, while WDB was a life slice. SBMS is modern one. Regardless of the genre if XZ is in it I am sure is something worth watching.
if you take only that line in consideration yes, but there were also other lines like where he told ZY that she can retrieve what she lost if she really wishes for - which was also somewhat similar with how the last scene with ZY started- she wishes for the big wedding and all the things he promised her. But regardless of lines, I was convinced by his looks, his eyes. For me it was the look of somebody who said I'm back with his eyes ! :D

That was my impression yes, also from the looks on his eyes. But as I mentioned can be interpreted by each watcher on how they perceive the overall and lines. Even as sad one,compared with novel as they were not shown with kids and carefree life. But for me was ok!I am at peace with this ending.
Well as I understood the last scene. When the flowers bloomed the snow rosa appeared and bloomed too. Out of it he returned. For me the scene was really similar with LBFD where he returns in the garden from the moon. But yes, they do not show more so each with their own thoughts. You can even see it as sad because they were not shown with kids and carefree as in novel. For me personally I am ok with the ending. Loved the show!

I interpreted the ending as a happy one for Xanxia genre. If you seen LBFD and you thought that ended well, for me was same feeling. Last scene reunion with SY coming back : flowers bloomed and allowed snow rosa to appear and out of it SY returned. So I am ok with the ending!
Just finished it so my hot thoughts on it on the moment: - amazing acting from start to finish, for sure a new benchmark of Xanxia was established and Shi Ying as character, well will take much time in future for somebody to reach the popularity XZ set for this one. - Fight scenes also in lasts episodes so well done! - CGI I perceived it as the best of this year by distance. - Story interesting and it allowed redemption of some bad characters ( XL, DSM) - Main leads lived till the end to their morals and beliefs of cultivators , together as a couple. For those afraid of much angst will recommend to watch until the end of the wedding ( middle of ep 40) that will give you perfect closure if you do not want to cry one last time more :D - This drama has broken so many records and became explosive for a reason so stick with it! - Do not misinterpret characters with the actors . You may dislike ZY but RM did very well in portraying this character. How I saw the ending will reply as spoiler here bellow . I am curious why you wrote you are not sure if he returned. I just finished and perceived the final just like the one from LBFD, he returns in last scene. They did not vanished him , or make him transparent or stg to give the impression it was an illusion. I'm ok with the ending.

That is a thing I noticed it often and can not get it. How can people can not make clear distinctions between characters and actors. I did not enjoyed that much ZY character but I totally think RM nailed the role as an actress!
After reading some of bellow comments, I see many of those who daily wrote here all glued in front of the screens for the last episodes 😆😆 great gang guys!
