Unexpectedly Hooked from the Start!!!!

I accidentally stumbled across this while watching Instagram videos. Familiar with the FL after watching 3 of her past c-dramas, I instantly looked up Shine On Me. I never thought I would be so hooked from the very beginning!

This drama had the mixture of The Best Thing's lead chemistry with the slow-burn romance of Amidst A Snowstorm of Love. Sometimes the softest stories stay with you the longest. đŸ„° It has that quiet, comforting charm that slowly wraps around you without trying too hard. The pacing is gentle, the emotions feel sincere, and there’s this soft, slice-of-life warmth that makes you want to keep watching just a little longer. I’m genuinely so glad I stumbled across this one because it feels like one of those dramas that grows on you episode by episode and then suddenly has your whole heart.

The early episodes center on Nie Xi Guang, still in college, navigating her first real crush on Zhuang Xu. And honestly? This part of the drama feels painfully relatable. Xi Guang’s feelings are sincere, hopeful, and a little naïve...the kind of crush where you overthink every interaction and still convince yourself there’s a chance.

But what makes this arc hit harder is the emotional mess surrounding it. Misunderstandings pile up, jealousy creeps in, and the roommate dynamic, especially involving Ye Rong, adds layers of quiet cruelty that feel all too real. Xi Guang isn’t heartbroken because of one big betrayal, but because of many small, cutting moments where she’s misunderstood, underestimated, and made to feel “less than.”

Zhuang Xu is not a villain, but he’s emotionally rigid, bound by obligation, pride, and unspoken rules. His help always comes with distance. His care is careful, measured, and ultimately painful for someone who loves openly like Xi Guang. Their relationship becomes a lesson in unrequited effort, how love without mutual timing can still leave deep marks.

By the time graduation arrives, there’s a quiet sense of closure. Not dramatic, not explosive, just two people standing in the same place, unable to move forward together.

One of the drama’s strongest points is how it handles transition. Xi Guang doesn’t magically “get over” her feelings overnight. Instead, she travels, breathes, wanders, and slowly learns that not everything you want is meant to stay. The UK trip with her cousin Jiang Rui feels symbolic; moving forward, learning to walk without emotional baggage, discovering that life has many “views,” not just one.

This phase is about grief that doesn’t look dramatic. It’s about acceptance. And it’s beautifully done.

When Xi Guang starts working at Shuangyuan Photovoltaic, the tone shifts, but in a good way. She’s no longer defined by who she likes or who hurt her. She’s awkward, earnest, hardworking, and quietly determined to build a life on her own terms.

Enter Lin Yu Sen.

Unlike Zhuang Xu, Lin Yu Sen carries emotional weight from the start. Once a brilliant neurosurgeon, his life was rerouted by a car accident that took away his ability to operate. He’s calm, introspective, and deeply principled, but there’s a quiet grief behind his eyes. He understands loss. He understands starting over.

What makes their dynamic so satisfying is that Lin Yu Sen never diminishes Xi Guang. He challenges her, yes, but he also sees her effort, respects her choices, and allows her to grow without judgment. Their relationship is built on mutual understanding, patience, and emotional safety.

The romance here is a slow burn in the truest sense. No rush. No forcing fate. Just two people learning how to trust again.

Shine On Me isn’t loud. It doesn’t demand attention. But it lingers. It’s the kind of drama that feels better the more you think about it...the glances, the pauses, the things left unsaid.

By the end, you don’t just root for the couple, you root for the people they’ve become.

And honestly? That’s the kind of drama that stays with you long after the final episode fades out.

The High-Quality Power Couple Mini-Drama You’ll Devour In One Sitting!

Oh my word, talk about a major surprise! 😍 I started Grab Your Love on Rakuten Viki thinking it would just be another quick, skippable micro-drama, but it completely shattered my expectations. The overall production quality was vastly better than I anticipated, with stunning, vintage cinematography and high-quality sound that kept me totally immersed. Even better, the story was surprisingly engaging, fast-paced, and way more cohesive than standard short-form series. It is the ultimate weekend binge!

Acting: 8.5/10 — The leads absolutely carry the show with amazing micro-expressions!

Storyline: 8.5/10 — Way more engaging than expected, balancing business revenge and pure romance beautifully.

Romance Chemistry: 10/10 — Absolute fire! The sparks, the tension, and the un-chopped romantic scenes are electric. (The kisses where delivering)

Music: 8/10 — The intro track is a total vibe and the BGM fits every intense moment perfectly.

Rewatch Value: 9/10 — Because it's a fast-paced mini-series, it is dangerously easy to rewatch.

Overall Vibe: 8.5/10 — A fiercely addictive, high-quality romance that hits all the right spots.

Why I Absolutely Loved It!....

The Performances Were an Absolute Treat. I ended up thoroughly enjoying the actors' performances. They absolutely brought their A-game! Tan Yan Yan is phenomenal as Min Jiang Xi, completely rocking that fierce, independent, badass attitude as she strives to be the top tutor. And Wang Xuan as Qin Zhan, the "Villain of Shencheng"? Hello?! đŸ«  His low, whispery tone and stone-faced demeanor are incredibly attractive, turning the classic protective alpha male trope into art. Their mutual chemistry is undeniable, throwing any cringey, forced mini-drama acting out the window.

Laugh-Out-Loud Peak Moments. While the corporate warfare can get intense, the comedy in this show is pure gold! The laughable moments between Min Jiang Xi and the adorable Qin family kid are wonderfully hilarious and completely steal the scene. Watching this intimidating, high-society "villain" slowly get completely whipped and outsmarted by a sassy tutor had me constantly giggling at my screen.

If you are looking for a fast romance with zero drag, incredible production quality, and a power couple that takes down corporate villains side-by-side, you need to grab this drama immediately!

Why This Binge-Worthy Gem Will Punch You Straight In The Feels!

Oh my gosh, prepare to be completely hooked! If you are looking for a Japanese drama that you can easily binge-watch in just a day or two on Rakuten Viki, I Wanna Punch That Scumbag! (Ano Kuzu wo Nagutte Yaritainda) is the absolute perfect choice. It has the ultimate mix of comedy, swoon-worthy romance, and boxing, but underneath all that chaotic energy, it serves up some truly beautiful, deep life lessons that I did not see coming! 😭💖

Acting: 9/10 — Nao is an absolute powerhouse as Hokomi, and Yuta Tamamori is effortlessly charming!

Storyline: 8.5/10 — A perfect, fast-paced blend of sports growth and complex romance.

Romance Chemistry: 9.5/10 — The tension, the glances, the kissing scenes—absolutely electric!

Music: 8/10 — The ending theme "Meriba" by People1 sets the absolute perfect mood.

Rewatch Value: 9/10 — Short, punchy, and so easy to click "next episode" over and over.

Overall Vibe: 9/10 — Heartwarming, motivating, and incredibly satisfying!

What makes this J-drama stand out from a standard rom-com are the incredible nuggets of wisdom it drops along the way.

Here are the five massive takeaways that will stay with you long after the final episode:

1. Look beyond the label (but don't play fixer!) Not all scumbags are bad and not all good guys are good. However, that doesn't mean you should go around trying to reform every single scumbag you meet! Kairi might have a womanizing, messy exterior, but his hidden depths teach us that people are multi-layered. Still, save your energy...you are not a rehabilitation center!

2. Your inner strength is waiting to unlock. You are stronger than you give yourself credit for with the right perseverance and support group! Watching Hokomi literally transform her heartbreak into boxing power is the ultimate motivation. With a solid gym family and your own determination, you can survive any hit life throws at you.

3. True freedom comes from releasing the past. Let bygones be bygones. Holding onto resentment, old betrayals, and deep-seated guilt only weighs you down. The characters show us that true peace only comes when you finally decide to unclench your fists and drop the heavy baggage of the past.

4. The world keeps turning, and so must you. Although it's hard to walk away from a terrible situation, you still must move on. That doesn't mean you feel less guilty, it's just that life keeps moving and stops for no one. Whether it's getting left at the altar or dealing with heavy trauma, the drama beautifully shows that taking that next step forward is mandatory, even when your feet feel like lead.

5. The heart follows its own rules. Love knows no bounds and you can't force your heart to love someone just because it fits society's norms. The heart wants what it wants despite the risk of being hurt in the end. You could choose the "safe, perfect-on-paper" option, but true love is wild, unpredictable, and completely worth the risk of getting a little bruised!

Hidden Gem Alert: The Best Enemy-to-Lovers Rom-Com You Didn’t Know You Needed!

Oh my goodness, you guys, I am completely obsessed! 😍 I went into My Uncanny Destiny expecting a typical, low-budget historical web-drama, but it completely blew me away! The production quality was surprisingly top-tier, and the story kept me glued to my screen way more than I ever anticipated. If you love chaotic energy, fake identities, and pure fluff, this is your next binge-watch!

Here is my official, total-fangirl breakdown:
Acting: 9/10 — The main leads have the absolute best facial expressions and comedic timing!
Music: 7.5/10 — Super cute, bubbly tracks that perfectly match the playful vibe.
Romance: 10/10 — The chemistry is sizzling, swoon-worthy, and beautifully developed!
Storyline: 8.5/10 — Surprisingly engaging with great pacing and way fewer boring fillers than usual.
Rewatch Value: 9/10 — I will 100% replay my favorite funny scenes when I need a dopamine hit.
Overall Vibe: 8.5/10 — Pure, unadulterated joy from start to finish!

The Actors Absolutely CRUSHED It!

I need to shout from the rooftops about how much I loved the actors' performances! Zhang Yue Nan (Ye Zhaonan) is an absolute star as the cross-dressing city lord. She is so fierce but possesses the most hilarious, expressive reactions. And Luo Zheng (Liu Xuanming)? Wow. He plays the arrogant-but-whipped lord so perfectly. Their chemistry is electric, and you can tell the entire cast was having the absolute time of their lives filming this.

The laughable moments in this drama are pure gold! The entire amnesia arc where Zhaonan ends up serving Xuanming in his palace is filled with top-tier slapstick comedy. From the ridiculous misunderstandings to Xuanming trying to figure out why this "man" makes his heart flutter, I was literally wheezing. It doesn't take itself too seriously, which makes the humor land perfectly every single time.

If you want something lighthearted, beautifully shot, and shockingly well-written, do not sleep on this drama! It is a total 10/10 in my heart!

A Masterclass in Modern Hustle, Healing, and Hard Truths

The Ultimate Antidote to Adulting Burnout: Why This Slow-Burn Gem is a Must-Watch

If you are feeling completely exhausted by the daily corporate grind, please do yourself a favor and go watch Fake It Till You Make It. This drama is an absolute breath of fresh air. It perfectly captures how so many of us run ourselves ragged chasing our goals, only to hit wall after wall. But its core message is so beautiful: with a little patience and perseverance, you will find your path. It reminds us that obstacles aren’t always failures, sometimes, they are just tough life lessons we need to grow.

What I appreciate most is the show's profound emotional maturity. It gently calls us out on our own self-absorption. When we are drowning in our own problems, it is so easy to judge the people around us. This drama holds up a mirror and reminds us that everyone is fighting a hidden battle. Instead of rushing to pass judgment, it champions the power of open communication and empathy.

The main romance is a total elite-tier slow burn, but the side plots are just as stellar. The female lead’s sister has a fascinating love life that actually drives the narrative forward rather than serving as boring filler. Her journey delivers a fantastic reality check on modern romance: love isn't a rigid checklist of wealth or status. It is a mutual, living connection where two people genuinely complement each other's flaws. It is a grounded, slice-of-life masterpiece that takes its time, but every single second is worth it!

Acting: 🌟 4.5/5 – Every single cast member understood the assignment. They delivered incredibly grounded, natural performances that made the characters feel like real people you'd pass on the street.

Romantic Chemistry: 🌟 5/5 – The flirty, mature tension between the leads is completely off the charts! The male lead (Chen Xingxu) is an absolute chemistry magnet who elevates every scene he is in.

Storyline: 🌟 4.5/5 – Deeply relatable, tightly written, and refreshingly realistic. It successfully avoids overly dramatic soap opera tropes in favor of genuine human growth.

OST (Original Soundtrack): 🌟 4/5 – Perfectly curated, atmospheric tracks that seamlessly blend into the background to enhance the chic, moody, city-dwelling vibe of the show.

Overall Vibe: 🌟 4.8/5 – A sleek, comforting, and fiercely intelligent slice-of-life drama. It feels like a warm cup of coffee after a brutal day at the office.

Dreams, Detours, and the Kind of Love That Grows with Time

Love Story in the 1970s follows a group of young people coming of age during a transformative time, as they chase education, stability, and a better future despite constant obstacles. At the heart of the story is a determined female lead and her evolving relationship with the male lead, as both navigate family expectations, societal limitations, and the unpredictable path toward their dreams.

This drama hit me in a very personal way. I really enjoyed how it brought back old memories of myself striving to attend college.... pushing through setbacks, facing unexpected twists, and constantly having to reroute my plans just to keep moving forward.

Just like in the drama, things didn’t always go the way I expected in my own journey, but somehow everything still aligned in the end. That emotional connection made this story feel even more meaningful, and it’s honestly what stayed with me the most after finishing it.

That being said, while I loved the storyline, the romance didn’t fully hit for me. It felt a bit restrained, likely due to censorship or maybe just the writer’s intention, but I couldn’t help noticing that the male lead’s sister had a much more passionate and expressive love story once she got married, while our main couple stayed mostly in that soft, subtle lane with light pecks and sexual innuendos.

Story — 9/10
The storyline is easily the strongest part of the drama, filled with emotional depth and relatable struggles. It beautifully captures the resilience it takes to chase your dreams when the path isn’t straightforward.

Acting — 8.5/10
The performances feel grounded and sincere, especially in the more emotional and reflective scenes. The cast does a great job bringing authenticity to characters who are navigating difficult life choices. I found myself really despising the villains and completely enraptured with the intimate dynamic between the family members.

Romance — 7/10
While the romance is present, it feels quite restrained and understated throughout most of the drama. There are sweet moments between the leads, but it leans heavily on subtle gestures and light affection rather than deep, passionate connection.

OST — 8/10
The soundtrack complements the nostalgic tone of the drama really well. It enhances the emotional weight of key scenes without ever overpowering them.

Overall Vibe — 9/10
There’s a strong sense of nostalgia and emotional warmth that runs through the entire series. It feels reflective, inspiring, and quietly powerful in the way it tells its story.

Love Story in the 1970s is more than just a romance, it’s a story about perseverance, growth, and finding your way even when life keeps changing the route. If you connect with stories about chasing dreams, overcoming setbacks, and looking back on how far you’ve come, this one will resonate deeply...even if the romance leaves you wanting just a little more.

When Love Breaks All the Rules (and Somehow Still Works)

Murphy’s Law of Love follows a perfectionist “love expert” who has built her career on formulas and logic, believing relationships can be calculated and controlled. Her world gets turned upside down when she meets a laid-back, emotionally intuitive man who completely challenges her rules about love, forcing her to question whether the heart can ever really follow a plan.

This drama is such a comfort watch, it leans into familiar rom-com tropes but delivers them with just enough charm to keep you smiling the whole way through. It’s light, a little predictable, but also surprisingly heartfelt when it slows down and lets the emotions breathe.

The real magic comes from the contrast between the leads. Watching her structured, analytical approach to love slowly unravel while he gently pulls her into something more genuine is both satisfying and quietly emotional.

Story — 7.5/10
The premise is classic rom-com territory, but the “love expert vs. real love” angle gives it a fun twist. It doesn’t reinvent the genre, but it executes it in a way that feels easy to watch and consistently engaging.

Acting — 8/10
The leads have a natural, easy chemistry that makes their dynamic believable from the start. Their performances shine most in the softer moments, where small expressions carry more weight than big dramatic scenes.

Romance — 8.5/10
The romance is sweet, steady, and filled with those small, meaningful moments that build over time. It’s not overly intense, but it’s warm, comforting, and genuinely easy to root for.

OST — 7.5/10
The OST fits the tone well, leaning into light and emotional tracks that complement the rom-com vibe. While not overly memorable, it enhances the cozy feeling of the drama.

Overall Vibe — 8.5/10
This is the kind of drama you put on when you want something relaxing and feel-good. It has that soft, comforting energy that makes it perfect for unwinding while still giving you enough romance to stay invested.

Murphy’s Law of Love isn’t trying to be groundbreaking and that’s exactly why it works. If you’re in the mood for a feel-good romance with lovable characters, gentle chemistry, and a story that reminds you love doesn’t follow rules, this one is an easy yes.

A Quiet Love That Grows Louder With Time

Falling Into You tells the story of a disciplined and slightly guarded athletics coach whose life takes an unexpected turn when she reconnects with a younger, determined athlete who has quietly admired her for years. As they train together and chase dreams on the track, their relationship evolves from mentorship into something deeper, forcing them to confront age differences, societal expectations, and their own emotional walls.

This drama has that addictive mix of sports, romance, and emotional healing that just pulls you in without trying too hard. It’s not just about winning races; it’s about timing, growth, and the courage to choose love when it doesn’t fit neatly into expectations.

What really makes Falling Into You stand out is the chemistry. It’s soft but undeniable, built on shared history and quiet longing, and once it clicks, it becomes impossible not to root for them. I also, found it to have many cute, funny moments to breakup the more serious underlying story.

The leads interactions with each other were perfect and I loved their overall chemistry!

Story — 8.5/10
The blend of sports and romance feels fresh, especially with the added layer of a noona (older woman/younger man) dynamic. It balances personal ambition and emotional storytelling really well, even if a few plot beats feel familiar.

Acting — 9/10
The leads absolutely carry this drama with natural, believable performances that make every interaction feel genuine. Their emotional scenes, especially the quieter ones, are where the acting really shines.

Romance — 9/10
The slow build is so worth it... there’s tension, hesitation, and that “should we or shouldn’t we” energy that keeps you hooked. When the romance finally unfolds, it feels passionate yet grounded, with plenty of swoon-worthy moments.

OST — 8/10
The soundtrack fits the emotional tone perfectly, especially during training and reflective scenes. It may not be overly standout, but it enhances the storytelling in a really cohesive way.

Overall Vibe — 9/10
There’s a warm, slightly nostalgic feeling throughout the drama that makes it easy to binge. It’s emotional without being overwhelming, romantic without being cheesy, and leaves you with that lingering “I’m not ready to let go yet” feeling.

Falling Into You is the kind of drama that quietly steals your heart. If you love noona romances, sports-driven stories, and slow-burn chemistry that actually pays off, this one will absolutely hit the spot.

A Heart-Stealing Swap That Actually Makes Sense!

If you are looking for a quick, bingeable watch that balances "freaky Friday" comedy with a surprisingly solid plot, Who Took My Heart Away is a hidden gem you shouldn't skip. iQIYI really delivered a "beautiful story" here that manages to feel complete despite the shorter episode lengths.

The chemistry between the leads, a covert agent and his "accidental" bride, is the driving force. Watching them navigate each other’s lives while trying to save a failing family bathhouse (yes, you read that right) is both hilarious and heartwarming.

The Ratings:

Romance: 8.5/10 – The "forced proximity" of the body swap creates a natural, sweet progression from bickering partners to a deeply bonded couple. Wang Lu Qing never fails to be one of my fave underrated actresses. She delivered on the kiss scenes with the ML đŸ„°

Acting: 8.0/10 – The leads do a great job of mimicking each other's mannerisms; it's convincing enough that you don't lose the immersion during the swap.

OST: 7.5/10 – While not as legendary as some big-budget xianxias, the music fits the lighthearted and "feel-good" vibe of the show perfectly.

Storyline: 7.0/10 – It can get "very confusing" with its late-game plot twists, but the fast pacing keeps you hooked until the final episode.

Overall Rating: 8.0/10 – A solid, high-quality "mini-drama" that delivers a happy ending and plenty of laughs.

Recommendation: If you liked this, watch...
A Familiar Stranger (2022)
If you enjoyed the body-swapping and identity-switching tropes in a historical setting, this is the gold standard. It’s also a short-form drama but features even more intense chemistry and a slightly more "grown-up" mystery.

A Short-Drama Gem That Totally Surprised Me!

I’ll be honest: I went into Have A Crush On You with low expectations, but it turned out to be so much better than I anticipated! For a short-form C-drama, the production quality and chemistry were genuinely impressive. What really made it stand out was the pacing, the plot didn't drag for a second, and the episodes were just the right length (about 10-15 minutes each), keeping the story feeling fresh and super bingeable. If you're looking for a quick "contract marriage" fix with a kick-butt female lead, don't sleep on this one!

Romance: 8/10
The chemistry between Lin Yumeng and Ji Lingsu is the heart of the show. It starts with hilarious bickering, but evolves into some surprisingly sweet and passionate moments that felt earned despite the short runtime. (I secretly wished their were more kiss scenes)

Storyline: 8/10
It hits all the classic tropes... forced proximity, contract marriage, and a protective ML, but executes them well. I loved that the FL can actually fight her own battles, which kept the dynamic interesting and balanced.

Acting: 8/10
The leads did a great job making their connection feel real. They played off each other’s energy perfectly, making the transition from "fake" to "real" love very convincing.

OST: 7.5/10
The music was bubbly and matched the rom-com vibes perfectly. While it might not be a soundtrack I’d listen to on repeat, it definitely enhanced the cute and emotional scenes.

Overall Score: 8.5/10
This is the perfect "palate cleanser" drama. It’s fast-paced, high on the fluff, and proves that short-form dramas can deliver a complete and satisfying story without the filler!

If you are looking for another similar watch short c-drama, I recommend.....

Night of Love With You (2022)- This is a "meta" rom-com about a manga character who usually plays the "scheming second lead" but accidentally becomes the heroine of a new story.

Just Spoil You (2023)- A modern "reunited lovers" story about a manhua artist who returns to her home city with her son, only to run into her ex-boyfriend.

Not super deep or dramatic, but that’s exactly what makes it so easy to enjoy!

I rewatched this recently ( May 3, 2025) and came back to edit my review... Sometimes you just want something light, flirty, and fun... this one totally delivers.

So the setup is classic K-drama gold: a famous actress (Yoon Yoo-jung) and a well-known doctor (Cha Woo-hyun) fake a relationship to shut down rumors
but surprise! Feelings start creeping in. Yes, it’s a fake dating trope and yes, it’s delightful.

What makes this one work is the chemistry between the leads. Yoo-jung is glamorous but not stuck-up, and you actually see her vulnerable side. Woo-hyun is charming, emotionally guarded, but not in a cold way, more like someone who’s just not used to letting people in. Watching them slowly break down each other’s walls is honestly the best part.

It’s not super fast-paced or full of crazy twists, it leans into the softer, more heart-eyes moments. Lots of little gestures, misread feelings, and that slow build-up of “oh no wait... I actually like you.” đŸ„Č

My only dislikes:
I would have enjoyed this more if the leads would have had more chemistry together in the skin-ship department. The ML felt stiff and unsure whether to have skin-ship with the FL throughout the whole drama. On a scale of 1 to 10, the chemistry was a 6 for me.

Also, I feel like the whole revenge plot from the SFL droned on for far too long and this drama could have easily been summed up much sooner.

However, the FL was always lovely as I remembered from her acting days in Princess Hours & Coffee Prince. She did an excellent job at portraying her role! The side characters did a great job too and I particularly liked her brother. He was just adorable!

If you’re in the mood for something easygoing, romantic, and sweet without being too cheesy, Love Alert is a great pick. It’s the kind of drama you can relax with, root for the couple, and maybe even rewatch just for the comfort of it.

Overall, this is a solid 8 and I would say give it a watch!

Not exactly Mind Blowing, But Still Watchable

This one was a bit of a coin toss for me. I stuck it out through the whole thing, and while it wasn’t terrible, it didn’t exactly blow me away either.

The storyline had potential, I’ll give it that. But wow, some of the characters’ decisions felt way over the top. Like
can we normalize having an actual conversation instead of silently suffering or dramatically walking away?

The FL, bless her, was just constantly pushed around and never really took control of her own story. I kept waiting for that strong moment and it just didn’t come. Even her final decision in the last episode was motivated by her Teacher.

And don’t get me started on the ML. His reactions made me cringe more than once. That whole “I know what’s best for you” routine? We’ve seen it too many times, and it’s getting tiring. A little nuance would’ve gone a long way.

All in all, it’s one of those “eh, why not” kind of shows. If you’re bored and want something to half-watch, sure. Just don’t go in expecting anything groundbreaking.

Could have been great if the writers went a different direction with the story...

This drama had the same feel as Love O2O, where they were back and forth between the game universe and the real world. However, I feel the storyline fell flat for this drama and I found myself hitting the FF button quite a bit.

It had all the plus points to make this a good drama, including a decent cast, but it didn't hit the mark for me.

I won't give spoilers, but the ending was very lackluster and ticked me off to be honest. Also, the villainous character was written half-heartedly, and she was easily forgiven after stirring so much trouble up. It just didn't make sense to me.

I'm glad other's enjoyed it, but it was just so-so for me. So, I won't be recommending it, unless you have low expectations and just want to kill some time.

Decent, but you may lose your temper at the FL's acting...

The storyline was pretty good. I would have given this an 8, but settled for a 7 because I wasn't a fan of the FL. It was no fault of the actress, but rather the writer's direction for the character. They made her too overzealous to the point she went beyond naive. I'm aware that some people find characters like her cute, but to me she was just overbearing and obnoxious most of the time. However, despite my personal preferences this drama was still worth watching. My favorite character was the ML's older brother.

I Wanted To Like This....Sadly I Did Not!!!

***First off, this is just my personal opinion. If you love the drama, I'm happy it touched you in a way it didn't for me.***

I went into this thinking the casting line-up is pretty good, so the drama will be fantastic. I just recently watched Han Ji-Min in Love Scout and liked the drama. However, I must say The Practical Guide To Love was a huge let down.

Where to begin?

First, the FL has the capacity of an elementary student when it comes to navigating love in the adult dating pool. I also found her rather selfish and inconsiderate when it came to the two male leads. I mean, who strings two guys along for that long and doesn't realize if they have a connection yet. Yet, she is blatantly kissing one and not the other. If this was real world logic both guys would have left early on in the game, not waiting patiently for her to pick and choose at her own will when she is ready as they obviously know about each other.

Secondly, I liked Han Ji-Min in Love Scout because the role seemed to suit her very well as being a somber boss that needs love and care in her life. However, I feel like that same somber acting carried over into this drama and just made her boring. I don't find her character alluring enough to draw in two guys of this caliber at all. In my mind I kept thinking that if Jung So Min or Chae Soo Bin would have taken the role it would have been so much better. A more versatile and personality- drawing character would have made this role stand out.

Lastly, let's talk about the romance. It was so lack luster to me. When they had their first kiss, it was just as bland as the FL's character. I sensed no passion or chemistry at all. TBH....she had more chemistry with SML and it probably would have ignited some passion into the story if they would have chose that direction instead.

So, my final thoughts: This drama taught me to always choose the boring, safe relationship and to not act on attraction or feelings. Because apparently you can't find a guy that gives you both in life.

Wrong!!!!! There is no reason why a person can't find a stable relationship with someone while they also give them butterflies. LOL!
