Her kiss in the 27th episode looked fake. It showed that she was hesitant to kiss him. She did it like, she was…
You mean the tree kiss ?? If so, then I think otherwise. JianJian was feeling it that she was like, "is that it" afterwards...Meaning she wanted seconds hahaha As for the JJ initiated kiss, I think it was something out of her comfort zone, however she cares so much for LX and wanted to show him that.
Personally, I think this drama would be better without the love line.
I was the same in the beginning because I thought, do we have to... But then as I watched their story unravelling, I began to understand how they became to be as both individuals and couple. The dialogue between JJ and LX in his room shed so much light on how/why they are together. LX has gone through so much and the constant positive thing in his life has been JJ. Because of his painful experiences he has been robbed of a normal childhood/adolescent. So it's befitting that he gets attracted to the positive person in his life and that's JJ. Like he said, starting to meet new girls learning about eachother is such a draining thing to him so he just sticks to who he knows best vice versa. As for JJ, she has always liked LX...you could argue as either gehgeh only or more... She has spent time with her two bros so the gehgeh zone is more normal and natural to her. But when LX comes and confess, she started to see him in a different light. And I like the fact that she went through all stages of denial until she eventually agrees. And like LX, JJ said she also don't have the energy of meeting someone new etc. So I think their common ground is familiarity and better understanding of each other, the good, bad and the ugly.
And I just Love Them.
P.S. I didn't talk about ZQ because his feelings are completely different from LX.
Wow, This drama just continues to Hit the Right notes... It addresses issues in a thoughtful, sensitive yet profound way that I'm in awe. I have been a little concerned by the brothers emotional dependency on JianJian especially after they came back. ZQ is over-protective of JianJian but that's more rooted from his fear of abandonment. Whilst LX regards JianJian as his oxygen tank, his only beacon of hope against his trauma. What bothered me was that JianJian was/still is carrying the emotional stability/support for these two, so what's left of her. That phone call to her Dad really pained me because, you could see she was tired plus torn between her two brothers. Both these brothers have some mental health issues and need/ed more than JianJian to recover. So I'm so glad that LX saw a doctor (well not intentionally) who pointed out his mental health condition. The way his dad reacted made me remember how he reacted when Chen Ting was going through mental health problems as well. As for ZQ, I think he needs to work on his fear of abandonment either by himself or with support. My heart broke when he pointed out how noone wants him to LX and JJ. That moment spoke volume of his insecurity.
Nonetheless, I still love the fact that Nomatter what Jian Jian is still that Ray of Sunshine in these boys Life.
Yeahhhhh, the situationship between Zi Qui and JianJian is solved now. I saw a YouTube clip where JJ reject him gently and clarify their relationship which will always be Brother and Sister. And from ZQ's reaction, it shows his confused feelings weren't that deep, at the end he likes JJ as his sister. I can make a Sigh of Relief Now...hehe
P.S. That's my interpretation from that little clip using my minimum Mandarin comprehension
Chen Ting (Ling Xiao's mom) has a mental breakdown and is in depression. All her nasty actions can be explained…
True, I guess. But when they are children involved, I just wish for parents to do better despite the circumstances. When the child has their parent's support they wi still feel happy and reassured even if the going gets tough. Talking from experience, as someone who never had that. I'm just happy, it's a drama and don't know these kind of people in real life...huh
Chen Ting (Ling Xiao's mom) has a mental breakdown and is in depression. All her nasty actions can be explained…
Hahaha, yeah these mothers infuriates me. Considering what you said, I did empathised with both mothers in the beginning but not anymore. 1) Chen Tin is not a good mother. Because, how could she lock her children and go play mahjong to begin with (she didn't have depression then)...Okay so the accident was not her fault and that's when I felt for her so I did not take anything to heart inc. what she did or say until she left. Afterall, I felt she was really mentally unwell. But her actions when she returned to LX's life are unforgivable and unfortunately it's not caused by her illness anymore. Chen Tin comes from a selfish family background, where it's all about what they/she wants not what the children feel. 2) He Mei - another classic of selfish. So she was a single mom and she thought it's better to leave the child and go. Okay, I empathise again with her since it might not have been that easy to leave him. So what, she comes back not after 2,3 or 4 years but bloody 9+years. Oh rephrase that, she doesn't come back but they have to seek her after all. And you would think she would be nice??? but nope, she just have to hurt ZQ some more.
So if these women ain't selfish then the most selfish person I know in my life is a saint.
He Mei is one of the confusing characters...aaah (still dislike her nonetheless) Her words are so hurtful and whenever she stabs people (with words) (Papa Li and ZQ) , the camera tend to linger on her face...it's like showing an emotional conflict between what she said and actually mean. I say that's boohoo BS...because at the end of the day she is as selfish as LX's mother. Well at least, He Mei seeks to runaway like a coward whilst Chen Tin decides to torment LX. Both women are scr*** in the brain. I was wondering how exactly she will be linked with Papa Li at the end, given she is married and have another child etc... But when I saw her creeping back at Papa Li's restaurant, shamelessly asking about ZQ like nothing happened, I realised this woman is that shameless so can do anything. Okay, so if she eventually get together with Papa Li (fingers crossed, not),then she is coming with another son and Papa Li becomes dad again....How many kids is Papa Li going to raise in his life??? Can't he have a rest already...? But then again, it appears writers wants Zi Qui happy so anything for him at this point, I guess...sigh
can we have more dramas without any annoying SFL or misunderstandings between the leads, and instead the conflict…
Oh AMEN to everything you have just said.... I honestly hate hate dramas with 2nd leads who are either unnecessary or serve to drag the plot. I literally pass a lot of dramas due to 2nd leads (mostly 2nd FL as they can be too crazy) My favourites are: Love O2O Boss and Me Well intended love Go go squid Intense love My dear lady etc... And these either have no/non-significant 2nd leads.
Oh come on guys,He didn't kiss her on the lips...only forehead and cheek?? He was tempted to kiss her on the lips…
"LX is good looking so it's okay" ....hahaha, I'm dead. Yeah I think that's where the bias is. Honestly, they still do these things in dramas even in this century. I wish they would put a "Do not do this at home" warning beforehand or something.
I was thinking the same thing. Talk about being overwhelmed ... ZQ and LX have been the two people she can confide…
True for all it's worth I don't want ZQ to get hurt. Literally want him to snap out of this foggy feeling situation he's got going on for JJ before it goes any deeper. I can see he is definitely confused curtesy to his friend feeding him nonsense. I wonder what papa Li told him when he mentioned he likes JJ, because I think it was really an eye-opener...too bad I can't understand as I watched it raw hence waiting for subs...Sigh
OMG the men in JianJian's life aka ZQ and LX are driving her insane. The poor girl can't catch a break. One is coming on like a bulldozer and another has already level it up and tell Li papa he wants to marry her....tsk tsk I guess JJ is wondering what is going on with her world which has suddenly turned up side down...hahaha I'm actually curious on how she will turn around and accept Ling Xiao....hmm
kissing without consent is still a big no-no. no justifications . kinda disappointed of that scene.
Oh come on guys, He didn't kiss her on the lips...only forehead and cheek?? He was tempted to kiss her on the lips but pulled off then JJ opened her eyes. And he apologised as well. Not that I'm saying it's totally okay but in this case, I'm not strongly against it.
Is it Happy or Sad Ending? Someone please do spoil it for me I watched an MV and couldn't help to feel it might be a Sad ending or Open one. I hate both!
So we are about to say Goodbye to Ling Xiao gege ERA and say Hello Boyfriend Ling Xiao...hehehe
P.S. This drama is now intruding my personal life as well... I just noticed that I'm anti-Singapore...lol (well until the drama finishes) and I blame LX's bio-mom for that. E.g. My family just mentioned Singapore as their next holiday destination...And I was quick to ask, when are you coming back, followed by Why Singapore again...hahaha
Don't mind me, I'm too far gone for this couple.
If so, then I think otherwise. JianJian was feeling it that she was like, "is that it" afterwards...Meaning she wanted seconds hahaha
As for the JJ initiated kiss, I think it was something out of her comfort zone, however she cares so much for LX and wanted to show him that.
I respect your opinion, still.

Wait, it's real right??? They won't change their mind right????
This Drama is my Happy Pill Right Now...
