I really enjoyed this for the most part and even intended to rate it 10, but then the last few episodes left me feeling a bit disappointed. I’m pretty conservative, I usually don’t need or want gratuitous kiss scenes, but I feel like it would have been better if they had given us something at the end. I mean not even a wedding night kiss? And did she really need to keep calling him third brother until the very last minute? I was satisfied with their sibling type relationship for the majority of the drama, but then feel like they let us down at the end. I was expecting a bit of sweet fluffy romance but nothing really changed in their relationship. She even said that they’re like an old couple — but I feel like they shouldn’t necessarily. Still a great drama and worth watching. Just felt slightly disappointed.

Me neither and for me that’s perfect! I hate love triangles where one of the leads gives the second too much attention. I’m loving how they handled it in this drama!

I kinda wish she would get with him and live a spoiled pampered life, but to be realistic, I don’t trust him or his mom. If she stops being useful to them one day, how will they treat her then? But I would be happy if we got to know Mr Han better and were able to determine he is in fact a good person. Cuz I don’t want another love story between family members (and to be clear, I don’t see a problem with marrying your uncles wife’s much younger brother, but in this drama where we already have this pseudo sibling love affair, it’s like too much already!)

I also had to drop Go Ahead 100% entirely and only because I couldn’t stand Song Weilong’s terrible acting, and Zhang Xincheng outshined him in every scene. But I LOVED the first several episodes with the child actors. What I love about cdramas that deal with family and growing up is how authentic and nostalgic and relatable they are, even as a non-Chinese. They just make me feel a type of way kdramas never ever have, this adaptation included. I’m just not feeling the raw emotion and connection that Go Ahead gave me, so for that reason, I’ll probably drop this.

Nothing to do with the story — I just have to say, it’s interesting how I don’t find Zhang Wanyi particularly good looking, he’s not really my type, but his voice is so attractive it’s changed my feelings about him entirely. 😂 I never realized someone’s voice could affect your perception of them so much. If he didn’t become an actor, he could have become a voice actor

WTF was that ending??? If she loved the SML so much, why did she cheat on him with the ML in the first place??? Honestly she was playing both of them throughout the drama

I mean international drama fans. Korean dramas are still far more popular and well know than Chinese dramas in western countries

I actually haven’t watched the latest episodes yet, but from what you’re saying, I’m glad they changed the hot spring scene, because CXZ’s unbridled behavior in the novel is starting to make him unattractive to me. Supposedly he’s been so disciplined his entire life and never had relations with women, but suddenly he’s lost all control, even getting her pregnant before marriage. It’s ridiculous. Even if he loves her and is attracted to her, he should still be able to control himself and not tarnish her reputation
