I truly believe that was the better ending! Let's say he dies of cancer then what they go to his grave and say goodbye? He gets cured? That seems like the easiest path to an ending! But Yuan believing in magic sacrificing it all for Wang, and Wang choosing to save him at all cost dispite him being in pain truly gives the meaning of "lost to you" for me... And the family members just accepting their choices also gives them loosing to the people they care about but they chose to accept their decisions.. I saw it like that, I may be looking deep into it and that's what I sometimes like about open endings everyone interprets their own way... And what I don't like about people hating the ending is them bashing the entire thing like you can hate the ending but give them props for the 11 episodes

I didn't know it was based on a novel, then why mess it up 🤦🏾‍♀️ I mean just follow the storyline, or you can change somethings but atleast be great at it

This series is perfectly made for me, am on episode 35 and I get why it's 68 episodes because a lot of things aren't covered yet and what's crazy is that am not bored and every second matters because a story is being told and if you skip you will miss out on important things.... It doesn't feel like it's too slow or sped up, the main actors compliment each other well... This was a well made series and to think it was shot in 2019 is crazy and you can tell the budget was spend because it's just quality over quality... People complaining the people are old just tells me you watch movies or series because of how cute or beautiful a cast is and not because of the storyline and the ML and FL are not bad looking at all

Who wrote the script? So much was lacking, the casting amazing but script and story needed refining

Companies are now making BLs freely they should leave bl content for bl companies to make them. Am tired of bl content being made into bromance like why? And this could have easily been made into a perfect adaptation with everything being included as this was released in 2022 not 1922
