Huh? Those essential skills (as per your description) are exactly Xiao Jinyu's traits.
And Jinyu also has his guardsman to protect him. So he's surrounded by fighters which leaves him to concentrate on solving the cases! And when he is in danger, Jinyu seems to be able to fend for himself by avoiding getting hit while his people fight around him ;)
OMG! I can't believe this drama only has 10 eps! After I saw the last ep, I was like "WHAT?!!!"....there has to be more! I need more! The stories in here aren't finished. What's going to happen to Sang Gu and his story and will the fight lady boss get back at him. Did Sang Gu retain the property title? What about the ending with Geu Ru meeting that girl? So many unanswered questions which leads me to believe that there will be a Season 2...and just like when I saw Sweet Home...there better be a Season 2!! I have to say that I love the actor that played Geu Ru. I can't believe he's only 17 yrs old. He was amazing as Geu Ru portraying a person with Asberger's and trying to steer through the world especially without his father as his rock. I've only seen Lee Je Hoon in a couple of eps of Taxi Driver but he was also amazing in this drama as a bitter man who thought his beloved older brother abandoned him. Little did he know what really happened to prevent his brother (Han Jun) from meeting him at their designated place. And because he felt he was abandoned, this set Sang Gu up to being the cynical bitter man he is today....until the revelation. I loved Na Mu who always had Geu Ru's back and simply was the best friend for him. And even though Geu Ru's dad died early on, you could still see his presence in the memories and flashbacks of Geu Ru. If you think saint, Geu Ru's dad will come to mind. The actor who played Han Jun was amazing too! This was such a terrific drama that will evoke so many emotions in you. The revelations are happy and truly sad at the same time. I felt that the theme was abandonment and how things can turn out good or bad depending on what fate brings you. All in all, I really need a Season 2 and hope Netflix has it on order or I will be pissed!
Same thoughts! I am also rooting for the main couple. Seeing the comments, I think it's just us, or some more…
I bet it's hard for Dylan Wang & Bambi Zhu to see the second couple get more of the attention in this drama than them. The breakout star has got to be Deng Wei. They paired him so well with Pan Mei Ye and I can't wait to see him in more dramas. I've only seen Dylan Wang in Meteor Gardens and really loved him in that. I tried watching Ever Night 2 but couldn't really get into that story. So this is the 2nd drama I've seen by him. I was really rooting for him in this drama. Even though it's not the best story, I'm still enjoying it and wanting to see what the outcome will be for both couples! :)
So I'm up to Ep. 30 - Honestly I don't hate the drama. I really am rooting for the main couple and all the lifetimes they have gone through in order to be together. A lot of people don't feel the chemistry between the two but I do. I feel mostly the sadness for them because they can't be together and there has been so many obstacles in keeping them apart. I think the second couple has overshadowed the main couple because they have a more interesting back story and you want to know what exactly is their relationship in the past. And they are funny! Between his cold facade and her flighty behavior they are both navigating the thing called love. I love how XQX knew earlier on that he has only eyes for QQ. QQ constantly misunderstands his intentions and felt that her meteor mark on her forehead was a turnoff to him....which it wasn't. I love how QQ has always been with Liu Ying throughout all her incarnations. What I absolutely didn't enjoy watching were the battle scenes when Liu Ying was the General. The scenes were so bad....I had to fast forward them. And what's with the constant use of the twirling while fighting. I think they are overusing this technique/special effect and it's getting really boring! Right now I'm watching her final incarnation as a disciple of Kunlun and her ambivalent feelings about killing demons. I liked how she argued about killing demons with her Master when she was a little girl because even at that young age she had her doubts about all demons being evil. I can't wait to finally see the main couple be together and also to find out what the back story is between XQX & QQ!
I'm a binger-I know it's not a word but I couldn't think of anything else and I agree. This is the first Kdrama…
I'm a "binger" too! But the wait for new subbed episodes is incredibly long! It's so frustrating. I'm also stuck on ep 13 and waiting for the last several eps to air so I can just finish watching the whole drama. It's been an unexpected pleasant surprise with this drama. I started watching it to fill in for my other dramas that I'm also waiting on new eps...lol...and I thought this drama was complete when I started watching it. But I guess I was wrong :( Thank goodness it's only 16 eps!
So Ling Fang is a totally dirtbag...he tried to have his brother killed by tampering with his car and there's no consequences for his actions? And we also see in flashbacks that he pushed Ling Yue into the water resulting in Ling Yue having a fear of water. WTF? And the father doesn't do anything but just yell at his oldest son whenever he does something evil? Also, I blame the father for why Ling Fang is the way he is. The father is always comparing him to Ling Yu so of course that just makes things worse. I hated his character in The Untamed and him being Ling Fang is just a continuation of the hatred. Will he redeem himself in this drama? Who knows...but I really can't stand his character here too. The youngest son is a pushover and keeps chasing after the woman that is obsessed with Ling Yue. OMG...So annoying. And I get it...RIO is a friggin sponsor but do we have to constantly see this stupid drink shoved in our face! The product placement is ridiculous!
The most frustrating thing about this drama is how SLOW it's been in airing eps! I've been waiting and waiting after getting caught up in eps for this drama! Argh!
What kind of crap is this?!!!! I'm on Ep. 9 and this story has got to be the saddest one so far. Even in Eternal Love, Bai Qing & Ye Hua got married and had a child in the human world and also stay faithful to each other in their various lives.... but in Miss The Dragon....ugh!! How can I accept that they both love each other but have to marry someone else? I know he did this to save her life but this is such BS!!!! And then he gets to watch over her after he wipes her memory of their love and sees her marry & get pregnant...arghh!!! Nope! Not liking how this is transpiring so far. And it's incredibly sad when Liu Ying gets flashes of someone she loves but can't understand why it's happening. And it's absolute torture that Long Yuchi hangs around her and watches all that is happening with her and her husband. I kept wondering what he does with his own wife? Does he not spend time with her? Did they also share a marriage bed? I know he only married her in name only so does he avoid her after that? The only thing I did like was that he created a duplicate of himself from leaves & branches when he had to marry Hou Xue...so technically he didn't marry her...lol... Why didn't the writers find a way to keep them both faithful to each other? And we have to watch them go through 2 more lifetimes without being together? How incredibly cruel. Was this what happened in the game? This is so awful on so many levels. I just want to fast forward to their final life so I don't have to see this horrible middle part of them not being together. And I understand how other people are saying how stiff Dylan Wang is in this drama. I think they put this horrible pale makeup on him to portray the white dragon. I think his stiff look is to also portray himself as the dragon in human form. He's not been around humans and was learning the ways with Liu Ying while falling in love with her. I do like them as a couple. I just hate the fact that they can't be together because of the deal he made with XQX in order to keep Liu Ying alive. That was a stupid deal and he should have bargained with XQX before agreeing to it. The actor that portrays XQX sometimes reminds me of Xiao Zhan in the way he looks at times. I think he is hot and like the others, I love his interaction with QQ. I can't wait to find out what he forgot in his memories.
I was really impressed with her acting in TLB and I enjoyed watching Romance of Tiger and Rose, but I don't know…
I was really looking forward to seeing this since I had it on my watch list for awhile. But right into the 1st episode, I realized it's the same character she plays in so many other dramas. And yes...it was also right after seeing her character growth in The Long Ballad so I felt like this drama was a step backwards in the roles for her. She has so much potential but the roles given to her does not do much to advance her acting skills.
I was really impressed with her acting in TLB and I enjoyed watching Romance of Tiger and Rose, but I don't know…
@tenkpm I did read about her company putting her in these roles. It's unfortunate that they are overworking her and giving her roles that basically are the same. You can take the character she plays and put them in her other dramas and you wouldn't notice the difference: same character! I'm sure her company is riding on her popularity wave but they are doing a disservice to her acting. I remember seeing her in Cinderella Chef and I had to take a second look because I thought she looked so familiar. I almost didn't recognize her since she wasn't being typecast in this. I'm hoping she will get enough clout in the future to choose different roles that will showcase her acting skills.

Exactly! I wish she get roles that aren’t the usual pushover types. It’s getting tiresome seeing her play the same role over & over again. She’s a good actress but needs to find dramas she can show her different range. I will continue to watch this one but had to come here to get this rant off my chest! Phew! And I hope the one with Yang Yang will be worthwhile and not disappointing.
This drama’s plot is so outdated and silly but it’s entertaining
Rosy Zhao seems to make a lot of these silly dramas. I really wish she would pick dramas where the female lead is much stronger and can fend for herself instead of always having a guy come to her aid. I had to stop some of her other dramas because it's the same old cliche characters that she always end up playing.
Oh my friggin god....why does Rosy always play these damsel in distress female leads?!! She's such a pushover again in this drama who doesn't know how to say no. First her boss corners her in the work area and she just cowers and have flashbacks. She doesn't help her cause by fainting and lucky Ling Yue comes to her aid. Then her fired boss tries to take her away and then the male lead comes to her protection and what does she do? She just stands there and does nothing to help Ling Yue (whose leg is hurt). Then she gets sulky with him because of his female aide who she mistakes as his girlfriend. Then she can't turn down a bday invitation from her Aunt Hong to attend her "father's party" and you know clearly that her "father" doesn't want her there. And then she gets splashed in the face by this strange woman that works there and she walks off with her. Ok...now we are in the locker room and the strange deranged lady attacks her with a butter knife. So then a duffel bag falls from the top of the locker and she pushes the deranged lady away and takes the brunt of the fallen duffel bag and she's KNOCKED out?!!! WTF??? Did this bag contain some kind of weights? Who gets knocked out by a fallen bag? It didn't sound like it was heavy! I'm getting really sick of Rosy playing these helpless pushovers and damsel in distress. She's so weak and fragile here and it's just pissing me off. I just came from watching her in The Long Ballad and at least over there she started off as a whimpering scared princess but eventually found her strength and became stronger in character. In this drama she has all these men falling all over her and I have no idea why. I hope it gets better because it just pisses me off when the female lead lets everyone around her walk all over her and acts like such a pitiful victim all the time. And I'm only on episode 7! OMG...
