From the new trailer I feel this drama didn't take advantage of Novoland's complex world building and there are…
I definitely agree! The description mentions the merfolk, but I don't really see it mentioned in the trailers. There is one scene where sb eats/bites her and another where she floats on water, but that's it.
Just watched the new trailer, the visuals and acting is great! Edit: Please read the 'A Guide to Novoland' article if you're unfamiliar with the Novoland series. https://mydramalist.com/article/a-guide-to-novoland

It's true that web releases are more unrestricted compared to TV releases, for example Ruyi's Royal Love only aired online after the restrictions on Qing Dynasty palace dramas were enacted. But that was a few years back... the regulators might include online too now. (They even mention donghua, which have usually been able to get away with more than live action.) OH dear, we'll have to wait and see π
The drama and relationships between the characters is so great and emotional. Also, the setting and issues it deals with are heavy. I heard that compared to the manga, the anime is set during the 2000/10s instead if the 70/80s. But no one questions that the Vietnam War was changed to the Middle East. Shows that although things change, they still stay the same.
It confuses me too. I know the Wheel of Samsara that you enter at the end of your life to go to your next life according to Buddhism, but why Immortal? In China immortals are often associated with Daoism.
this may sound unbelievable but some people out there (hyx investor...) already watched hyx lol and here is the…
If this is the true ending, I'd be really happy. 1.0s and 2.0s both get their HE (even if they aren't fused together.) Also, it doesn't surprise me that investors or staff have seen the drama already since cdrama are always completely filmed before airing. But I'd still take this info with a grain of salt.π€‘
