I really love this show, it's intriguing and dark. The setting is interesting too, to me it's a nice break from modern/ancient city life.

Before Immortality is confirmed to be shelved indefinitely I won't give up hope. There's been many dramas that were put on hold for years and eventually saw the light of day.

Yes, I'm watching Gold Panning too. It's such a great drama, dark and gritty with beautiful cinematography. Chen Feiyu's acting definitely improved! I like the secret evil smirk in ep. 4 when things unexpectedly go his way.

Thank you for the warning! The great thing about English licenses is that they aren't under constant threat of being taken down because of changing government policy. If JJWXC officially translates the works on their site they're at risk of being taken down at any time.

Sorry idk, I'm only actively watching Gold Panning right now and the drama is quite dark and brutal.

I thought the sidekick character was familiar, turns out he's Linghu Chong from the 2018 version of Smiling Proud Wanderer. 😑

I think it pretty great so far, especially the female character. I can't tell on who's side she really is. Chen Feiyu's character knows what to do and say, he doesn't seem like someone panning gold for the first time. There's more to his character too.

In the first half of episode 01 there's: mild nudity (shirtless workers and bed scene), a side character is held a gun to his chest, strong social hierarchy 'dog-eat-dog world'. It's a good show and with intriguing plot and great cinematography, but be cautious about watching with/as a minor.

Seeing Wang Yibo being a foodie in Luoyang was great, hehe. Sword Snow Stride has great cinematography, but a lot of action scenes are either in slow motion or happen offscreen. I would recommend reading a few reviews first before you watch, both are good drama series but have their flaws.

Gold Panning w/ Chen Feiyu is currently airing. The only BL drama currently airing, as far as I know, is Is Xianzun Whitewashed Today? It's low budget and short form. So, I think you didn't really miss out on any Cdrama. It's great you're back.

It weird, but I understand why they did it. Sadly, this practice is quite common. New Smiling Proud Wanderer changed Yang Lianting's gender.
