I'm not very optimistic either. There are comments saying that Goodbye My Princess had a low budget and unknown actors and succeed anyway, so Malicious Empress will be great too... but honestly I don't think this is going to happen.

The video talks about the changes BL adaptions make to pass censorship and questions if they are necessary in the first place, such as changing a character's gender. *cough* Shimei *cough* (Also, as a fan of Han Zigao and Chen Qian, I cry every time I see scenes of that movie...)
