As per profile of Go Yoon Jung here in mydramalist the part two of Alchemy of Soul is prequel. Meaning it is her story. However, if the male lead character is the same, that is another story to tell. In the meantime let us enjoy this Part 1 first.

I am looking forward to season 2. However, I wish that the plot is much more focus on family relationships, love, and trust between husband and wife and their love for their son. Season 1 has had enough trials for the couple, given them, another trial might be additional spice for their relationship but please not as physical as the previous season.
