They were losing money. They said research showed that people donāt like long episodic dramas any more. They could barely get 10M views per episode for some of their newly released dramas.

She was even the first one that got jealous (when ML was saving PMās daughter from falling off the balcony) FL helped him in many ways that the fake Cui Lin began to question FLs plans/loyalty etc. Succinctly put, they both simped for each other, it was just portrayed differently.

Also donāt forget to add that the BL drama was produced by Huanyu, XKās agency so if MR airs at the same time as FUED then the competition is going to be stiff with a lot of trashy marketing against Xu Kai. Also if FUED or any of the dramas that are rumored to air around that time is for 2 platforms this might be a repeat of WOL vs SoKP.
