They don't favor female descendents because they do not continue to line. So when a daughter or grandaughter brings fame to their family, she will love them. When they cause trouble she will cut ties with them. Since Madame Jiang isn't a kind heart person, she will never stand by Jiang Si no matter what she does. She isn't a loving person. That is why she can see that her DIL is a scheming witch.
