off topic but are gonna watch the ongoing drama “The Heir “ not to sound rude just simply curious that u don’t…
JOL holds such a special place in my heart because it reminds me of the good old days of Chinese dramaland! It was one of my very first entries into watching these dramas, and the story completely hooked me—the writing is just masterfully done. I remember starting it back when there was massive hype and rumors about a young XZ being in it. I didn't even know who he was at the time, but the hype got me excited anyway! It was a bit of a bummer when he barely appeared, but looking back, it makes total sense. You can't really play a second male lead after becoming a massive, top-billing superstar overnight. I enjoyed ZRY's drama SSS a lot as well, and there are rumors that we might finally get a Season 2 somewhere around late 2026 or 2027. Fingers crossed that it actually happens! Can't wait to see what Season 3 of JOL has for us.

Hehe, I know! I couldn’t continue the YZ Peony S2 drama after 3 episodes. I’m watching The Heir as a background drama, which works for me. Hope you watch it in the future to see what your thoughts or review would be of this drama!

Haha, I know it sounds a bit harsh, but I’m actually still liking it! The dialogue can feel a little cliché at times, which stands out because the gorgeous cinematography and live locations gave me such high expectations. The Huizhou landscape looks absolutely beautiful. It's also a really fresh story; I don't think we've ever had a drama focused on the history of ink-making before. While the pacing gets a bit draggy here and there, it’s still well worth watching. If I had to loosely re-rate it now, I’d give it a solid 7.5/10!
