I'm loving that this series has been directed as a filmed 3 person stage play. The tension between Wang and In is so intense. Sasiwimol is so focused on trying to be the center of attention, that she's not seeing what's really happening between those two. When she started going down memory lane, regarding the theme of the play, and her revised lakorn, all I kept thinking was, "You are describing what you think, you lost in your relationship with Wang's father!"
These scenes are so intimate as well. She being hurt that In basically retreated from her life, not knowing why he did it. He feeling guilt, because he couldn't (or didn't want to) be around her, when those three were friends. More than friends.
The fight regarding "working/living for your dreams" vs. creating fantasies, so that you can "take a break from reality" perfectly describes the situation between Wang, and his Mother. She's so afraid to let him go, so that he can discover who he is, and become who he wants to be. While Wang wants his Mother to stop seeking refuge in the fantasy world, because she will never be at peace with her real life.
All three of the performers in this series are wonderful. Just brilliant. It seems like the script is from an original screenplay.
Between Uncle Mann in "21 Days Theory" (Does anyone know the actor's name?) and In (Nike Pomsuwan) in this series, I'm getting the older male gay characters that I have been wanting to see in Thai BLs. Those two actors are delicious looking AND can act.
I'm upset. I had no idea this wonderful series had only 4 episodes!!
I laughed myself silly watching that sweet, awkward, and funny scene between Q and his Mom. She's trying to tell him, that she knows that he has some budding feelings for X, while he's not ready to deal with having those feelings yet.
Q being absolutely jealous over, what he thought was X wanting to be with his Uncle Mann was expected, due to him being in denial about his feelings. Uncle Mann wasn't blind, OR trying to make inappropriate moves on X. He saw how X couldn't keep his eyes, or smile off of Q. Not every age-gap scene between an older gay male, and a younger, questioning young male will end up being some cautionary tale.
Uncle telling his sister, that she is Q's Mom, not the owner of his life, is something that I have never seen done in a Thai BL. Along with him telling her, that her son's happiness should be more important than what others think about his choices in who he has in his life. Those scenes are what we should be seeing more of in these BLs in the future.
Toy and Mook are adorable together. Frank, and his crush on his older female tutor. Less can definitely be more, if the storylines are written well.
I didn't love some of the storyline development in the series, but I loved ALL of the couples that paired together. KimMek, LeePark, MaiTim, & my adorable BombBear.

I think that Takara was cold to that unfortunate poor girl, because he didn't want Amagi to get the wrong idea about who interested him the most. I also think the "cool" factor is a shield Takara uses to hide his own insecurities. Amagi was the one that confessed first, but Takara always made sure that he was in his presence.
I don't know how Waeng's Mom doesn't notice the long, searing stares between him, and In. "I will stay single, like you In!"
They straight up flirted with each other for the last 20 minutes of the episode.
The location is amazing. The styling for the characters is onpoint, and I love that In has a "button allergy" the same way that Kinn has in KinnPorsche.
I got my 10 minute max scene between Rain, and his Phayu. I still don't know why Khim is so harsh towards Sun. I also want Phet to get over his fixation on Pie.
Milk and Love are still absolutely wonderful as Ink and Pa. I will always want a GL series based around Ink and Pa. Hopefully, we will get one in 2023.
Takara's final struggle with his inner "Yujins" wanting him to finally remember to use his own voice (as the first thing that the real Yujin taught him) was astonishing to see. How Yujin knew that he couldn't go after Takara was the moment, that showed just how much respect, friendship, and love he has for him. He had to let Takara realize that he can stand on his own. That his talent is his own, not him just mimicking Yujin.
As a former theater major, this series was brilliant.
