Okay, so main bromance in the show, LHQ and YMJ. They are so adorable together. They live together, tell everybody how beautiful their bestie is, are there for each other in true times of crisis, have secret handshakes and call each other darling. Literally the cutest. YMJ, portrayed by Wang Zhuocheng, is a firey emotionally-confused baby and his growth throughout the series was lovely to see. He was a splash of colour in an already wonderful cast. I love all of their characters and when the main story was lagging, the relationships and friendships and the characters more than made up for it. They all grow a lot as people in the 24 episodes, more mature (for better or worse) and you do know they are genuinely good people. If slightly marred by Chinese 'romantic' tv tropes. So yeah, watch the show. First 3 episodes are subbed on youtube!
Main cast awesome, maintains the right balance of plot and romance(for me who prefers no romance, it wasnt intolerable). Love Jiang Shao (dubious douchebag in 2nd episode but after that 100/100 man.) Main couple very cute and plot has an interesting amount of twists and turns. Only thing, the younger sister has taken up the role of the awful naive ignorant 'cutesy' female protagonist that are so prominent in these dramas. She's so irritating and entitled- but the rest of the show is worth it. Costumes are gorgeous and characters easy to love. Definitely recommend. EDIT: Okay so ep 11-12 she's honestly so much better and i can fully enjoy the drama. From brat to a honestly very lovely thoughtful person when it comes to Jiang Shao. Im very pleasantly surprised. Main couple is lagging a bit so skipping those parts but still definitely recommend.
