Disappointed. 1st and second halves are completely different with a heavily rushed ending. These last two eps were and are very poor. This is not on the actress. It is solely on the writer and maybe SML. His scenes were cringe and lacked even the slightest presence of villainy~
I think people are just comparing to how things used to be rated on this platform. To me, this drama is on par…
Fair enough. W/o a true benchmark set for the site or in general, we're kind of left to our own to figure it out. Might as well throw out numbers since everyone disagrees. Good, bad and mid it is~
8 or below has been considered a bad rating around these parts for a while. That's just how it's worked out. 8.5…
That's actually a good idea about ratings during its run. Ppl would pay more attention to the back and forth chatter being offered instead of coming in with dispositions based off early numbers~ I'm watching this though.......and my current mindset points to middling for now. As I post this, its at 7.8 and it feels accurate. But that's not bad. If ppl think thats a bad score, what would a mid be to those same folk? I mean......you can't just have good and/or bad dramas ya know? That's like being narrow minded, think that's the word lol. Like black and white have grey. Good and evil have neutral etc. So that's the question I pose to those slamming it's score as bad. What's a mid? Pure curiosity while trying to be as open as I can because ppl DO have the right to put forth their thoughts and I fully respect that whether I agree or not~
Since when is 8ish or has 8ish been considered a *bad* rating? All these comments saying they don't understand why its so poor...........explain to me what a bad rating is because quite frankly, YOUR comments are the ones that don't make sense. There's a lot of remarks slamming the rating but saying absolutely nothing else which points to bots or fandoms of specific cast members. At this point, it's clearly not a 10 and miles off from even a 9 but 8 is solid to most. Why is this bad and why is this causing controversy in the chat? π
Vigilante/Taxi Driver and even Flex Cop>>>>>>>>>>Bona Fide Killer
The OTT fangirling poisoner eps was a waste of air time. The org actually f'ng up each others missions internally (would have been better if she had actually sliced through Team Bs hand to hand specialist) is something that should NEVER happen in an org like theirs. And whats cinched it for me AT THIS POINT was the improbability of the last sniper scene~
Add all that to KHJ having absolutely NO aura whatsoever in this role and you're left with a mediocre drama being hard carried by JJW, LSY and MAYBE the child actress. The FL in Flex Cop woulda been nice here, someone whose acclimated with these types of roles~ Haven't dropped just yet but my wife is. Emphasis on my words *at this point* earlier because this is set at 14 eps, that's a lot of drama left but idk if it can get better with KHJ as the FL~
Sanctimonious arrogant old fashioned haughty behavior.....BY THE MIL!!!
I feel bad when they reference and stigmatize this in SK dramas. Single parent? Mom or dad dead? One in prison maybe? Orphan? They go RIGHT after parents and children affected with these scenarios and treat them like lesser beings with the kids get it the worst. As if they're responsible for anything and everything that happened to or because of it. It's sooo wrong. The ones who do this are taught, either directly or in passing, that it's acceptable~ I think the writer feels the same, notice how the child picked it up but in passing? It was a blatant callout. Children are more perceptive than what most ppl think. I should know. I've got 2~ So that rant was just to say I really liked how the hubby stood up for his wife, the fallout with the kid, and the events that transpired afterwards~ π
Didn't the lottery payout show close to 2 billion won in the trailer? That's over $1.3 million USD.
Yea Taigo is right. Lottery payouts are taxed to high hell by the government in most countries π Was it 1.3 billion AFTER taxes? I just assumed 1.3 was before it was taxed from the summary~
I am interested. It's a large amount of money but no where near enough to retire or live off of for the rest of you're life. It's what.......little under a million dollar wise? Curious to see his choices~
There are some other places they could go with this. They could use the other female chef as a protagonist, the other female from the Chinese trio of chefs in the competition if they're so worried about the dmg to CEWs reputation~
Which quite frankly, Lily Malice here seems to be stirring BS up by mentioning it. He took care of it and it wasn't a big deal to begin with. But Bon Appetit was barely mediocre. Saying it's in the same universe means it's gonna get a a comparison no matter what kind of twist is put on it. Partner that with Cha's currently perceived image would pretty much guarantee a bad start before it even gets off the ground cuz the hater bots are gonna zero in on it~ Hope he does something else and stays away from this. He's a good actor~
Alrighty!! Dropping point almost reached!! Build up with a potential battle from the poisoner into this OTP fangirl...., why? Pointless episodes and disappointing~ Scenes with the kid are just as bad as the rest for a few years now. So fake and unnatural~ Someone compared to Taxi and they're absolutely right except it's lacking the star power. KHY has no aura whatsoever for this kind of role~
Agree with majority. I'm content with the start. Will miss season 1s FL but I think the new one was written to come in super strong purposely to help deter the originals departure. It was good~
MH is alive. That's too easy~ But agree with everyone, bro walked in and took down everything easy w/o a hint of suspicion considering WHERE he was suppose to be. He gave soooooo many hints that something was wrong, he NEVER played 24 questions in the 1st run~ I think lawyer is the mole~ And this wannabe villainess is about to get squashed by the Red faction now that they know Babylon was keeping tabs. Dude wouldn't have come out of retirement at the end otherwise~ This season has been π₯

They left a window for a 3rd run but I think they should stop here, too many deaths and despite the VERY small spark with Q, it's not enough to ship another season. Or is the *reveal* at the end saying something otherwise?
