I heard the series did not pass censorship and they had to edit some stuff/reshoot scenes differently makes me…
Don't worry that rumour was false and please don't get anxious over unconfirmed stuff in the future! I completely understand you as a fan because I'm also anticipating this drama a lot, but it still shouldn't affect our mental health. What's even the point in making ourselves disappointed in hyx already just because of the rumours anyways, There's tons of good things that have been confirmed too like: We got the perfect cast for Ranwan, Vegetable bag (Madam wang's cat), The ghost wedding, Spring bath reunion and many Ranwan scenes (including lots of hugs). So let's stop worrying about the rumours and be happy with the things that have been confirmed ^^
Ps: None of them have a profile page on mdl yet (but I'm currently trying to make one for them) so you won't be able to add them in the cast & credits. Edit: Wang Laoji's profile got approved yayy!! Now Wang Xiaoyu's next.
Ok that was no sismance, it was S̶t̶r̶a̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ ̶u̶p̶ gay up romance between the leads.. So you all better watch this drama before chinese censorship find it and make it disappear from the face of the earth. I'm not even kidding :|

I 100% agree with you, especially on the last part of your comment. It's honestly kind of funny how some writers are so naive to think that just gore is enough to make a drama or movie "dark" like nah, gore shows rawness and it's much appreciated when something isn't sugar-coated just to avoid making the viewers uncomfortable but the plot is still the MOST important part. If I only wanted to see a guy get beaten, I can just watch the news or visit sketchy websites like your local edgy 12yo who's too afraid to even ask for extra ketchup at Mcdonalds but want to prove to his equally edgy friends that he's a badass who can handle gore. I wouldn't waste my time on a 2 hours long movie if I wasn't there for the plot. It sucks even more that you can't openly criticise the lack of plot in these kinds of "dark" movies/dramas because you might end up offending users who so love to claim they're fan of 'dark stuff' and we're just being squeamish because of the gore.
*i am not here to steal your favorite movies * Btw you can say i have seen "I saw the devil" Since it got a bollywood…
It seems like the adaption changed a lot of stuff from the original movie because: 1. The protagonist was an agent. 2. The protagonist's gf didn't suffer from cancer but she was pregnant with their child at that time. 3. The antagonist wasn't married but he did had a son who he abandoned at his parent's house, His son's mother was never even mentioned. I think the changes they made in the Indian adaption somewhat filled the plot holes and maybe made the protagonist more likeable though, cause in the original version - the antagonist's motive for raping/killing/cannibalism was never shown, and the protagonist was a huge dumbass who made a nurse raped by sicko treat that mf just so he can beat him again... Who tf in their right mind would make a rape victim treat her own rapist like that? I couldn't understand his logic at all, but since they kept the 'revenge' plot exactly same then I understand why it might be boring too. This whole movie honestly felt like the writer's childhood dream where the protagonist is unbeatable and wouldn't die even if he got hit with a missile, while his gf only exists just to get murdered by the antagonist (because how else would we introduce the super villain?) furthermore the antagonist is only smart and have fighting skills until he meets the protagonist. It all was basically a 90's anime show lol.
Idk about you all but all my doubts about the casting choices for the main leads was cleared after I saw Tan Jianci wearing a monocle in that one bts pic. He's not the gu yun we expected but he's still the gu yun we need.
Yes ofc i won't betray you but umm... I saw this board you have put in front of studio where we will shoot the…
Damn I thought my plan was foolproof (˵⊙_⊙˵) Are my schemes that obvious? I really need to learn a thing or two from jealous consorts in historical cdramas...
Aww ❤! (Crying happily) Since now i know you support me, i will shamelessly ask for help! I am not finding any…
Lmao I feel you. I've dropped 'Love and Redemption' centuries ago because I couldn't bear to watch the dumb fl getting fooled by everyone and their grandma, but whenever I search (or ask for recommendations) anything related to Xianxia, this drama gets shoved on my face. Wish mdl had a feature that the drama we dropped doesn't show up when we search for a tag or genre.

Awwe don't worry about the reporters. Do I look like the kind of friend who'll make you go through that? ^^ I'll just bribe them with your money so you won't have to deal with them. If necessary, I would pay them (again, with your money not mine) to write nice articles about our drama too.

If there's no corruption or reverse harem tag then you can just add one. As long as the FL has more than a one guy chasing after her (like in 'A story to read when you first fall in love') and the politicians are being politicians or nobles are being nobles (like in 'The Treacherous') as always in a movie, you're not breaking the rules by adding and voting on those tags yourself. Reverse harem and corruption is too common hence people often don't think it's necessary to add them, that's probably why you're having hard time finding movies with those tags.

You saw that board yet still assumed there's going to be a FL? From which angle do I look like someone who doesn't get jealous easily? Nevermind some FL, I won't even allow a female mosquito around him (︶︹︺)
"Let's togther invest on chen feiyu coz your choice isn't wrong at all." It's a deal then. You're not allowed to go back on your words, regardless of how boring and cliché the script I write is (☛ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☛
can someone tell me if i should watch this drama? almost all the reviews are like 9 to 10, but then in the comments…
I haven't completed it yet but It's not dragging at all imo. The storyline is consistent, well written, realistic and there's no plot-holes so far. I'd suggest you to give it a try ^^
Edit: Alright now I'm on ep 22 and I admit that it does feel a bit draggy but I still don't regret watching it tbh.
Edit 2: Just completed it today and the only thing I regret is not watching this drama sooner. It's my most favourite historical now. I don't think I'll ever get over this ᅲ-ᅲ
No wonder their chemistry was so good! (^o^)
