Love Like the Galaxy made me realise that this man is MADE for historicals. You know, there's actors out there who have that "yeah I just time-travelled to the present time to bless the eyes of everyone watching me through the screen" vibe? (example — Luo Yunxi, Jackson Yi, and Song Jiyang) he has that. I hope he gets more roles in historicals.
*Sees 'Based on true story' in the tags* Now I'm getting a sudden urge to run to a nearby temple, shave my head, and spend the rest of my life as a monk. Amitabha.
(Joking aside, it wasn't that scary. At most I was grossed out by all the scenes of bugs.)
lol, that's interesting ! good luck in episodes 18😂
—wait, is he going to have character development in that particular episode or is he going to completely go off his rocker? Spoil me a bit, my heart who was fangirling over him has now been filled with fear of the unknown ( ⚆⚆)
The ml is so cruel, evil, cold-hearted, unhinged, unsympathetic, fierce, unreasonable, moody, ruthless, bloodthirsty, a literal homicidal demon, AND I think that's very sexy of him. Dong Fang Qing Cang, stay unhinged. Never change. I expect no character development from you, so don't disappoint me by having any. Please and thank you.
The CGI in this drama has set the bar so high that now I'll longer be able to watch those dramas that seem as if the special effects were created through the free version of kinemaster.
Note: End Afresh is pretty intense and contain sensitive themes that might trigger some people. I have added some necessary tags, but I'm not sure when they'll get approved. So I'm putting this note here. However, by the synopsis alone, I think everyone can already tell what it's going to be about.
I'd watch it for the leads alone, I love the fl too (saw her in a plenty of dramas and fell for her acting skills) although I mainly came here for Yu Cheng'en — he suits this role so well.
I agree that trope is WAY overused, but it used to be a foundational aspect of BL: These were young STRAIGHT men…
I said you're mad and you decided to prove me right. If I was 'bitching' about a whole paragraph from your og comment, you bitched about a single word from mine. If I was 'playing a victim' by denying your assumptions, you, too, are playing the victim by bringing identities into the discussion from your very first comment and using 'you haven't suffered at the hands of homophobia' as an excuse to make me shut up.
Anyways, that's the last reply I'd be sending you, time to 'move on' in the true sense. Unlike someone else desperately wanting to have the last word by repeating the same old words. Cool off mr one & only victim, the sole speaker of lgbtq issues. Bye.

That's bold coming from someone who replied with "So until you have had to face up to something like that and fight your way through it maybe you should lay off passing judgement on gay folks who come out in a way that doesn't appeal to YOU" and said I'm in "no position" to voice my own opinion on the basis of a false assumption, so keep your pissing match to yourself. You wrote 3 paragraphs to say you're gay, and hence I should not speak, so what? Big deal. Let's just agree to disagree and move on. You're way too mad for any kind of civil discussion.

I'm not straight. I'm bi. I thought the part "Same-sex attracted people don't fall for others just because of their gender, we fall for the PERSON too. I won't date every girl I come across, just like how a gay dude wouldn't date every guy." could give you a clue but you probably didn't bother reading my comment to begin with (the same comment which made you come to the conclusion that I'm 'straight' thus in 'no position' to be saying anything.) I wouldn't have minded if you simply disagreed with my opinion or comment, it's only natural & I don't expect everyone to agree with me, but you come across as extremely condescending over a different opinion on a DRAMA out of all things.
If you personally could relate to that trope, good for you. But you could've explained it without that last paragraph. However, regardless of what you said in later part, I do respect the first part and your perspective on this trope, great to hear that you were finally able to be confident in yourself and your identity.
But there's no engsub so far though.

My dumbass who found it the most romantic thing ever: 🥰
