I think they save everything for Tianqi arc. From the picture that I have seen, the set for Tianqi is really great.

What I dislike about this pairing is that it seems to be exist just because the novel needs romance for ML. I think it will be better to have simple friendship and let the reader/audience feel the CP by themselves.

I don't understand why between male and female, the only relationship possible is only romance. Deep friendship is possible across gender.

Hence my looking forward for the Xiao Se that regain his martial arts in the final arc. The novel description of Xiao Se demeanor in Tianqi is really a blast. Somehow, I really hope that the drama will get us more flashback of his tenure in the past.

I agree. I think they want to hurry up so we can enter the Tianqi arc as soon as possible since that is the core of the story.

Hahahahahaha! In the novel, her screen time is very short though. The anime and drama add quite a screentime for her.

It is not like I don't want male lead to have romantic interest at all. But, .... her personality just .....

In my opinion, the novel itself is not emotional heavy type. I never think that the novel aims for mature adult with age 30+ years old anyway. So the light theme is understandable. The anime, it would be difficult to make complex expression using computer.

As I see it from the original source, Xiao Se really starts as a jerk character. Petty and arrogant, but somewhat coward and have inner inferiority complex. It is so 180 degree from Xiao Chu He. He is then warmed up bit by bit through the story, little by little starting to shed his "Xiao Se facade" and find his true self that burrowed deep inside him. But, somehow the novel kind of failing to let us see the growth process. Xiao Se just somehow become more friendly and then voila, suddenly Lei Wu Jie and others ready to protect him with their life .......

The drama just take one step further by making Xiao Se character growth steps more prominent. For someone in my age, watching Xiao Se growth in the drama is more pleasing. Because I can really see how the growth process going on.

I truly like Li Hong Yi interpretation for Xiao Se here. There may people who prefers the Xiao Se characterization in anime and novel more, but I for once thought that Xiao Se in that both form is rather too happy and lively for my liking. In my opinion, there is no way Xiao Chu He can still be lively after falling down from heaven to mud.

Unfortunately, that the only get up that I don't really like, hahaha. My favorite up to know, is the cloth he wears during flower festival in Xueyue city. Li Hong Yi really looks elegant and beautiful in it.

Even he chooses to roam the world, I don't really feel that Qianluo is suitable for him.

When watching the anime and reading the novel, I already dislike this pairing. Because it kind of forced upon reader, just because Xiao Se needs a CP.

By the way, am I the only one that ogling on Xiao Se clothing and headgear in every scene he appears? They are so beautiful ........ Cannot wait for his looks in Tianqi arc

As far as I remember, the drama is the most intense one. Seems the author (who also the drama screenwriter) knows that this pairing is unfavorable thus keep on adding emotional line in this drama in order to build up this pairing. Honestly, I don't understand why he even created this pairing in the first place. Xiao Se has more history with Ye Ruo Yi.

I have watched this. Too short for my liking. I hope the drama can expand more, thus can build up more emotional connection between Xiao Se and the guardians.

Lei Wu Jie stated to Xiao Se in the anime that his sister told him. It kind of happening off-screen. Honestly, the revelation is quite cheap in the anime. I hope the drama will do better. Since the drama add such meaningful discussion between Xiao Se and Lei Wu Jie about why Lei Wu Jie want to protect Xiao Se.

Based on the trailer, I quite liking Lei Wu Jie expression when he blocks Marquis Lan Yue from meeting Xiao Se. Lei Wu Jie in the anime is too goofy, and cannot really show the immensity of the situation.

In the anime, they somehow know before they set out to Lei Fort. I see, in the novel it will be after Xiao Se forcing himself to release his true power then. I have forgot the novel exact timeline. I think, it is time for re-reading.

I hope Tang Lian only plays clueless in front of Xiao Se while he truly knows in his heart. If not, it will make the story has plot hole. Since in yesterday episodes, his teacher just handed him the Xuan Wu token without saying anything detail

They kind of differentiate from the anime. By this time, in the anime, Lei Wu Jie and Sikong Qianluo should already know who Xiao Se is. I forgot about the book (really need to re-read). I hope the drama will make the revelation more dramatic and emotional. In the anime, the revelation is kind of .... bland

I am okay with Li Hong Yi and Ao Rui Peng for their respective character. But, I have to agree with you with Liu Xue Yi, hahahahaha. Unfortunately, he does look too old to pass as teenager.

Hahahahahaha!! It has been years since I took a look to Kdrama. Aside from the story become weirder, I felt that the faces just become more and more similar with each other.
