I'm thinking of watching the longest promise during these 3 days, has anyone here watched that show? is it good?
I have seen it, albeit skipping a lot from middle to ending. If you like Xiao Zhan, go for it.
But, personally, I don't really like this drama. I cannot really feel the chemistry between FL & ML. Also, somehow the way the story is told, is rather boring.
I think DFS is in " love " with LLH😂..What kind of enemy would keep on saving his enemy ,just so he can fight…
It is lonely on the top. They are rival but also confidant at the same time. Since they are on the same level, their point of view to the world more or less is the same, so they can understand each other better.
For someone like Li Xiang Yi, Qiao Wan Mian with her gentle and weak personality will never be able to become Li Xiang Yi soulmate in the truest sense. Since lots of things, she will never be able to see from Li Xiang Yi point of view, thus cannot understand him. I think it is better for them to break out.
This is addicting. I want to praise the acting in this drama. Really love Cheng Yi and Zheng Shun Xi here. The plus side watching Cheng Yi drama is that you don't need to second guess what you are watching and try to justify his character behavior by your own.
So far, the story is interesting. And the pacing is quite good. I hope the drama will not put too much screen time for romance.
By the way, I just realized today. This drama is also on WeTV?? Multiple platform?
Currently watching this now. Will binge watch this weekend. I am still up to episode 3. This is very good. Somehow this drama is so refreshing after watching so many costume drama with vengeful FL .......
Finally finish this somehow. Story got boring in the middle (after Bo Re Life). I just could not feel the sweet interaction between Tantai Jin and Ye Xiwu. Ye Xiwu sweetness felt so fake and over the top. Also, there was a disjointed between "Ye Xiwu" and Li Susu; as if they were different person. "Ye Xiwu" should have a trace of grace of Li Susu when Li Susu went to the past. But no, "Ye Xiwu" acted like rascal.
On the other hand, Luo Yun Xi was quite excellence in this. I especially loved him in devil God persona.
In the end, I am satisfied with the ending. Looking from the way Li Susu treated Tantai Jin, I always felt that Li Susu love was a conditional love. The romance felt so cold. Honestly, I could not find the moment when Li Susu fell in love with Tantai Jin in the past and how and why.
First, I must commend your courage in saying your evaluation in this forum since I see lots of die hard fan here,…
Not to mention some of the actor just looks soo good in inner clothes with their hair down without any crown, hahahaha.
Bai Lu is good, but just not stellar enough. Problem is she was paired with Luo Yun Xi who was better in conveying layered emotion. I don't understand the blind defense toward Bai Lu in this forum. Ever during airing, her acting had been judged by the audience in China as not enough.
Here is my take on things -- It has potential but the execution could have been 100 times better. Here are the…
First, I must commend your courage in saying your evaluation in this forum since I see lots of die hard fan here, hahahaha. I am still at episode 18, even though I have watched the end, and I can understand where you come from.
About Luo Yun Xi, he was indeed very skinny in this drama. But, I read that it was for the purpose of Tantai Jin character, so I think it is okay then.
About the hair accessories while sleeping, hahahaha. I very much agree on this. It can be very jarring. I also don't understand why this particular drama seems to be very negligent regarding this. As far as I know, through my years watching costume drama, only those of low budget that will not care about taking off hair crown and accessories during sleeping. All the high budget one, will make an effort to show different hairdo and clothing for sleeping. I always love that moment, where the character only wear inner clothes with their hair down without any ornament. Some of the actor looks very good in that kind of garb .....
Lastly, about Bai Lu acting. Perhaps the better words is that her acting lacked layer. Her acting in some scenes were good and I get that she had good chemistry with Luo Yun Xi. But, I cannot sense conflicting emotion from her acting. Li Susu/Sang Jiu always either in love or hate; cannot be in both. Also, ..... honestly, my biggest problem with her is that somehow she could not exude aura of divinity. Other people might have different opinion, but I just feel she is too human. She is beautiful, yes, but not in type that suitable in playing as goddess.
Just trying to watch this drama. After scrolling down the comment section, finally a comment that friendly toward…
Ah, I think I missed it during my fast-forwarding, hahaha. Different from the majority here, I don't like the main pairing. Too much mopping around, so I kind of skipping around during watching. I will re-watch that part.
Yes, keeping it from A Fu is a big mistake. And with Luo Ning temper tantrum when they conversed, even bordering taunting him. Sigh .... A Fu temperament can only eat soft, not hard. We see how successful He Na when he tried hard approach toward his brother. He lost his little brother in the end.
I am disappointed the majority here seems to quick in condemning A Fu. Actually, if we really look on his experience when he was young; watching with his own eyes how his brother sacrifice himself to save him, how Immortal People humiliated his clan, all his action were understandable. He lived enduring humiliation and guilt. You cannot ask him to have empathy toward other species, especially those of Immortal Palace.
I just rewatched episodes 34 & 35.Unlike what certain people think, A Fu did not give Luo Ning Phoenix tears because…
Just trying to watch this drama. After scrolling down the comment section, finally a comment that friendly toward A Fu, hahahaha. Honestly, A Fu and He Na are the reason why I even try to watch this drama. I eat brotherhood as breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their video in bilibili attracted me, so I am watching this.
I think A Fu behavior in the later episodes (including the episode 34 & 35 you were talking about here) is very reasonable according to his personality. This was a man who thought of his brother as his world. A Fu loved his brother very much, akin to obsession. And "betrayal" from loved one hurt much more. So when Luo Ning and He Na went behind his back and planning on getting married themselves, A Fu went ballistic. Luo Ning temper when A Fu tried to converse with her, exacerbate thing so .... phoenix tears tragedy happened.
If we want to point a finger to who was being stupid, in my opinion the answer is He Na. He should have known how extreme his little brother could be. How could he concoct this kind of fake marriage idea without informing his brother beforehand ....... ----Actually, I think He Na character is quite OOC in this part. Perhaps we should all blame the scriptwriter ---
For me, in the whole drama, the most interesting character is A Fu. It is rare that we get such grey character like this. He did wrong things, but with good reason. And his reason, I can empathize with. In the end, he only wanted his brother and clan to live freely and happily, even at the cost of his own life. I repeatedly watch his death scene (followed by He Na reaction) in episode 40, and never once it fails to bring tears to my eyes.
I found his micro expression amazing at The Legendary Life of Queen Lau which was the first time for me watching…
For me, my first time watching him was Love better than Immortality. Love his acting there as Qiuyue. It is indeed rare for such young actor to have his acting level. Usually, actors that I love because of their acting skill are already in their thirties when they got recognized. But this one is very young, hahaha. His acting skill still has long way to go, but at least in my opinion it is already in acceptable level. I never cringe watching him.
I also love his singing! Hope he can also sing more in the future.
Agree. I think its one of his better acted dramas of his or actually his best. His micro expressions and suffering…
In regards to fragility, Bai Yue is the better acted one compared with Xiao Se. Perhaps because The Blood of Youth is male frequency drama, thus the director did not focus on those parts. I love his costume and head gear when he was Xiao Se. He looks so regal and expensive, hahahaha.
And yeah, his kissing scene does need improvement, hahahaha. I am looking forward for his growth in the future.
One word to describe Li Hong Yi acting here: Amazing! I am in awe watching Bai Yue fragility that spans from episode 18 - 21. It is very rare for an actor, especially as young as he was (22 years old when shooting this drama) to be able to portray weakness to this level.
Is the first episode the final part? I keep hoping the plot will go back to where it started, but it seems the…
No. But, the drama will hop to flashback a few times to explain things. Do persevere. The flash back completely ended by episode 7 if I remember correctly. And the main leads is so sweet in the back.
Love to see FL smarten up. And finally I can see a FL that can take clue when the ML is acting and can acting together with him on the spot. No miss-understanding galore. Great!!
Anyone realize that FL has beautiful hand? Usually, it is the actor that have those long slender beautiful hand while the actress has such short ugly hand. But to my pleasure, both lead in this drama have beautiful hand. When they hold their hand together, it so very pleasant to look at.
So she has 3 drops of "blood from the head of the heart" (Yes we know it aint work like that but that's how it…
The characterization of Chang Qi here in the drama is too crazy in a bad way; akin to unhealthy obsession. It is difficult for me to sympathize with him. I agree that crazy character will make an interesting ML, though. But Cang Qi characterization is too thin here.
Moreover, as the drama story unfolding, it is clear that Bai Yue is one that stick with her from the beginning until the end. Not to mention, the drama makes it very obvious that Ye Xi does treat Bai Yue differently.

Drama should have change it to 1 vs 1. If not, I cannot imagine the rain of insult from the audience to scriptwriter. As I see it, the trend right now, audience really hate threesome.
But, personally, I don't really like this drama. I cannot really feel the chemistry between FL & ML. Also, somehow the way the story is told, is rather boring.

Family affair, company politic, I am fine with all of that. But when they make shareholder meeting akin to a joke .....
