Never heard of this, or maybe I did and decided not to put on my list because it mentions "Japanese". If anything…
The director, the art director and the main role actor were guided by the artistic level of "The Bourne Identity". The quality of this series is much more higher than ordinary drama like an idol-dramas.

Whatever the case, the actors kindly ask their fans not to interfere to their working affairs.https://x.com/xukai_soso0305/status/1929319612899860749?s=46
I'm not going to block you. I'm just trying to say that when actors ask us not to be overprotective, they have a reason for it.
But let me remind you about DD's dream from "I dreamed a dream":
"WangHeDi's dream is to smoke a cigarette and feel the moment when exhale the smoke like letting go all the pressure that fame, expectations and netizens hate put on him."

The quality of a drama does not depend on the screen time of the main character. If the secondary characters are not developed, if there is minimal interaction between them, the drama will not be interesting. You want to see a drama, not a one-man show, right? The balance of the script is important. Dylan read the script before signing the contract. Apparently, he was satisfied with what he read. This is why the actors ask fans not to interfere: outsiders have no idea about the script, the artistic vision of the screenwriter and director. Liu Yuning spoke not only for himself, he spoke for most of the actors. And he clearly explained that by interfering in the filming process, fans ruin the reputation of their favorite for professional circles. He is right. There is a high-level competition in China, and an idol with a problematic fandom will stop getting invitations with good roles. But it really need to fight for the safety of filming. Not only for Dylan, but for all the actors. Saving money and neglecting safety measures is a systemic problem.

Do we know how long he is stuck with this agency?? Feels like they don't protect him enough
There is control of the artists' fees size in China. Therefore, the artists receive part of their earnings as a fee, and part as a share of the profits. The agency also bears expenses: for the studio, for the stylist, for security, for advertising and marketing, for the lawyer, for transportation, for the accountant, etc. Dylan's position in his agency is not the worst that a Chinese actor can have. Now he can at least make decisions about the roles that are offered to him. As for the actor's safety, it's a systemic problem. Security costs reduce future profits. We do not know who made the decision to abandon enhanced security measures. Possible, it was Dylan on his own.

Possible, it was unconfirmed information. Since then, the MDL rules have changed. Rumors are no longer published here officially.

China has been a self-isolated state for a very long time. So in a sense, the Chinese as a nation are children. Their reactions look exactly like that: childish. If someone says that about my nation, I will ask them why they think that way. Looking at yourself through someone else's eyes is a very useful habit.
Resentment is not the reaction of an adult. It is the reaction of a child. And the Chinese attitude to money is really very specific. Money in the West and money in China have completely different philosophical meanings. To imitate does not mean to understand.

Why? Do the Chinese never say that they are idiots? This was a private conversation. And we don't know why and in what context Eleanor said this. Perhaps she encountered something that, from the point of view of her life experience, really looked like idiocy. For example, the way Chinese fans of popular artists behave is definitely idiocy. And there is no point in even arguing with it. As for Orwell - do the Chinese even believe anything, watching how people and events are "erased", "cancelled", "cut out" and "edited" in real time?

It would be much better if the Chinese were a Great Wise Nation. Great Pride Nations have a bad habit of occasionally, in their hard times, falling into fits of radical nationalism. But Eleanor's career in mainland China will most likely not continue. She will be "cancelled" and her face cut out of the frame. History will be rewritten "on demand". How it all resembles the plot of George Orwell's novel "1984"...

This is the C-ent reality. The industry's financial performance is falling, competition is becoming very dirty. Attacks are organized through marketing accounts. Denigrating hot searches are bought for competitors, including through the efforts of large fan accounts and using crowdfunding tools. Fakes are created. These are real cyber wars. I like quality wuxia series, I find Cheng Yi a very suitable actor for such a series, and I would like to see this series. It really promises to be very good. Its filming was very difficult. Everything worth is coming through the pain. I want to see this, I will definitely not go watch another series that I was initially not interested in instead. I think there are many like me not only here but also in China. But I am glad that "Prisoner of Beauty" is coming out as a replacement. Many were waiting for this drama, and competitors did not have time to throw mud at it. ))

This is truly an amazing story. Even after several years it does not let go, because it is a story of a very healthy and wholesome relationship between two loving people. It is about how important it is to meet "your very special" person. Someone who will accept you as you are, recognize you despite all the masks that life has put on you, trust you completely. And you will respond in kind. Because it will be natural and simple, like everything what is real.

Of course. And the first to suffer from this is the image of China. It looks like a return to the Cultural Revolution times. The fans of that actor behave like Hunweibings.

Elanor's opinion is a personal opinion. She was wrong: generalizations are inappropriate at this case. If someone felt insulted, they can go to court with a lawsuit against her personally. If the Chinese have no self-criticism and sense of humor at all, they can declare her persona non grata. But any case, this is not the opinion of the entire film crew. Calls to "cancel" the drama based on the private statements of one of the actresses are either an attempt to use the state politic tools for economic purposes of one isolate group or... idiocy.

In fact, the political censorship that some Chinese radical fans are calling for is a very disgusting thing. In response, one could call for a worldwide boycott of their mascot's dramas and movies because of political repression for him competitors.
One can also call on foreign brands that work with him to boycott him for the radicalism of his fans. Let him be a face for Chinese brands only. No Paris, no Milano, no Roma.
I wonder if his fans will like it?

Title Unchained Love Spoiler

The storyline with Denghuo sword was also interesting: Bu Yin Luo really was the first to "share" this sword with Xiao Do for two. She snatched one part of the sword, leaving the other in Xiao Do's hands. Very symbolic. Yin Luo looked at both the sword and its owner with open eyes, without superstition and based on common sense. And sometimes even very practical: why throw away Denghuo if it can be used for the household? She tamed even Denghuo!!! ))
When they are together, they are still adults, but they trustingly release inner child - each their own. Each of them knows the worst about the other. She knows that his job includes torture, he knows that her father is his brother's murderer. He saw her dying in a silk noose, she saw him almost quartered. But when they are together, they truly forget all their sorrows. Becoming like two playful kittens. Magic of love :)

Another highlight of the drama is the character of the emperor. A very complex character, and very vividly played. Fu Wang is a man who turned himself into a nonentity in order to survive. And unexpectedly received the power that he desired and feared at the same time, he became a tyrant. A huge contrast with Xiao Do, who knows why he needs power, knows how to use power, but does not cling to it and does not live for the sake of power. Bu Yin Luo, who just want to live freely, became a symbol, a talisman, an obsession for the emperor. Yin Luo is an object with which this man superstitiously associates his well-being. He cannot let her go, no matter what she does, because this means voluntarily letting go his well-being. He creates a CAGE for Bu Yin Luo. This is not love, this is madness.
And this is another one huge contrast between him and Xiao Do, who gives his beloved woman a HOME - a place where Yin Luo can be free, have desires, do what she wants to do. "Whatever your heart desires." No matter where she is, in Western Shu, Deer Manor, Xiao Duo's residence, or in prison, he will create such a home for her anywhere. This is another wonderful part of the relationship between Xiao Do and Bu Yin Luo for me.

I really like the healthy physical part of this couple's love. Their spiritual part of mutual love is very naturally connected to the strong physical attraction. For them, "to love" is to fight for each other, to support each other, to understand each other, to trust each other. And to desire each other very much. And they are not embarrassed about it at all. Moreover, at difficult or tragic situations, when it is difficult to find words, their bodies speak for them. It's really rare for a Chinese drama. The actors act so naturally, as if they lent their bodies to their characters for the filming duration, so that they could embody and meet.

I have never heard Xiao Zhan or Chen Yi or any other actor disrespect each other. And I have never heard them ask their fans to do so. If it so, what right do fans have to start scandals and fights, as if this is not a drama or a movie, but a trading place at a fish market? The problem is that fans do not even respect those they consider their favorites. Their "entertainment" has nothing to do with film culture or behavioral culture. It is simply disgraceful.
