I finished watching LLTG. The storyline moves slow and some parts are draggy but it’s very good! IMO, Part 1 was over rated. It’s a 6 at best…definitely not a 9. Part 2 is definitely better by far.
However, this is a top quality production and Leo Wu’s acting is sooo good. Such a talented and believable actor.
Despite a slow storyline at times, overall it’s very good and definitely worth watching.

A’Li is Ling Buyi’s nickname. A’Zheng is Huo Wushang’s nickname. Buyi’s mom and Wushang’s dad are siblings so the boys are cousins who grew up together and were very close.
The story told by the uncle revealed that Wushang is allergic to almonds…this is how NN figured out Ling Buyi’s true identity when he had an allergic reaction to the almond cake.

The Emperor, Empress and Consort are the healthiest I’ve seen by far in any drama.

Yikes…the ladies in part 2 are even more catty and bigger b!tches. I thought it couldn’t get worse then the ladies in part 1 but boy…was I wrong.

For me, part 1 is a 6.5 at best and that’s me being generous. I’m baffled by the 9 rating. I’m also a Leo and Lusi fan so this has nothing to do with me not liking the actors. . The storyline is sooo slow and moves at a snail pace. The only parts I really enjoy was the ML scenes and episode 25 or 26 when the Ml was training FL’s family…had me laughing so hard. Granny is quite a character so I like her. Also the empower who’s trying to play match maker..he’s very likeable too
But the FL….this is probably the first time watching a drama 27 episodes in and I haven’t warmed up to her yet nor like her very much..for all the reasons you’ve pointed out.

By the end of part 1, her relationship with her mother improved. I think her experience in Hua County and the He clan helped shed some light.

Yes, I’m so glad to finally start seeing her growth in part 2. I’m starting to warm up to her now. Finally.

it should take more than that to fall for someone.
She has potential…give her another 10 years and I think she would be there.

I’m not look for just romance but the story moves at a very slow snail pace. The only saving grace is Leo Wu…also episode 25 had me laughing like a crazy woman lol

Yes! Finally it dawns on her at the very end of the last episode of part 1 and beginning of part 2.

lol many people were very upset with her mother but I can understand tough love since I’m a mom too 😂
The fault I find with the mom is not showing her daughter love and affection…the one thing CSS longed for so much.
I started part 2 so im glad to see that she is starting to develop affection towards LBY so im more content now lol

So here are the things I do like about the FL..she’s smart and resourceful and handled the bandits and Hua county situation fairly well.

Those 2 deserve eachother. She doesn’t deserve LBY

I just finished part 1…I have such mixed feelings about it. I’m surprised the overall rating is 9. The storyline moves at a snail pace and some parts were so boring and draggy.

The women are so catty and nasty in this drama.

At the end of part 1, I’m not even sure if I really like the FL. I feel sorry that she was mistreated growing up and didn’t have a proper upbringing nor love. She is full of self pity but is blind when the ML shows her love and care. She truly doesn’t not deserve him one bit. He saved her life and her face on numerous occasions but she’s too blind to see it but fell for Lu Yao so easily. What’s wrong with her?? Also, I don’t see why the 3 men fell for her. Sure, she’s different from the other women because she’s unrefined and unconstrained but I still don’t see what the men are in her. She’s a immature hypocrite..she knows that she’s unruly with no etiquette or manners becuase if her lack of upbringing but she can’t understand that LBY is the way he is because he was raised in the military. She’s so cynical.

I love every scene Leo is in…amazing young actor and he nailed the role.

This drama was definitely hyped and I expected more. I woken rate part 1 a 6.5 at best but I hope things progress better in part 2.

They’re both too young and naive. Clueless about the real world so I suppose they are a good match lol
