Korea is particular harsh on consanguinity and it's illegal to like the 8th degree. Whereas in Canada, I have now learned, you could legally marry your uncle, for example. Rewatched this after so many years. I still love this drama and is one of my top dramas. But after maturing, I'm finding some red flags in the story 😅 The age gap now seems weird. Like why didn't they just make her a college student? Why did she have to be in high school? But the bromance is still great and I just loved rewatching the second couple, they are just so cute together!

I mean it has a lot to do with it actually. A patriarchal society responds differently to a woman accused of a crime. We have seen it countless times in the past where male celebrities basically just got a light slap on the hands if even... they often get accused of way worse crimes but manage to make their comeback in half the time. You can't tell me this has nothing to do with the patriarchal society that SK is. At this point it is just a fact that they treat their female celebrities with completely different standards.
