Aren't they basically each other's rebound, I mean he's moving fast and she seems more infatuated with him than anything else. (I haven't read the webtoon)
The drama My Name uses a similar tactic, with the gangster killing a parent and making it seem like they're on their side, but they're just using the mc and watching them crash and burn.
I don't like how they glossed over his abusive behavior with the standard sad backstory. Like that doesn't give you an excuse for being an ahole. Guys like that don't change just bcs they're in love, they might fake it for a bit, but when stressful situations happen, he's unpredictable. Acting is really good from the lead actors, and it has its moments.
The thing is with these dramas, they have quite a few obvious plot holes and illogical decisions in order to move the plot forward. Make it make sense!. I've dropped other dramas with this theme bcs I get so frustrated at the stupid decisions the characters make. There are good movies of this genre that are pretty logical and it makes sense why character act a certain way. But really, as soon as they split up, I knew the security guard was going to die or something. They're looking for a kidnapper, don't go anywhere by yourself! Why does nobody use their phones?? And bro you didn't find her, you found her hair bow. We'll see with this one.
I like how LDW has been choosing different types of characters. I was never interested in him before but hey, what's a little crazy in order to stand out
Honestly, I like how the story progresses, it keeps me interested. I also like how it's changing, because half the time these shows lose momentum half way through and I get bored. But not here
