They could never do better than season 1 !

Color Rush Season 2 was the Korean BL I was most excited about this year!
Although I knew it wasn't going to be easy - because Hur Hyun Jun wasn't gonna be there and I was really wondering (worried about) how could they make the plot evolve without him.
Season 1 introduced such an interesting (never seen before) concept to us: monos/probes and this "obsession" of seing the world in colors (for monos). Besides this main plot, there were also some side plots (Yeonwoo's mother missing / Yeonwoo's aunt's researches) that helped carrying the "mystery" part of the drama. This world of monos/probes could have been exploited so much more in season 2!

I dont want to be mean but I feel like season 2 totally ruined everything season 1 built.
For me, it was written kinda like a fanfic; it felt a bit amateur/childish and also rushed but I guess its because they wanted to keep the same format -8 episodes X 15minutes as season 1. This season was not as great and creative as season 1 - like when you're watching it, you can see something's missing ( Yoohan duh) and they tried their best to "cover it".

* Story: It was not enough for me. Where is the passion/obsession we witness in season 1? Where is the Yeonwoo that wanted to kidnap Yoohan to keep him forever?
They could have exploited the probe/mono world much more than what they did (like Mono's website/underwold this need for colors / and the importance of stones like Lapis-lazuli...) and other questions around monos and their relations to the world (is it possible for monos to fall in love with someone else?).
They could have give us something (more) / more chemistry between Yeonwoo and Sehyun.
What about Sehyun's sister - Yewon - and her obsession for surgery? What about their parents?
What about Yohan's friends - why throughout the episodes - was I feeling that they knew much more on the probe/mono world than what they were saying?
Yeonwoo's aunt - she's giving him so much freedom in this season lol + the ending to the "plot" she was giving really disappointed me - it was too obvious, and they could have done it better.

* Acting/cast : It was my first time seeing Hyuk as an actor and I was really surprised (I used to be a big VIXX fan back in 2012-2015, never thought he would become an actor haha) but I guessed he played his role okay. It was a "cliché" role in my opinion - I don't know if I make sense, but he was the side kick that Yeonwoo needed for the story and thats it. There was some cute moments, but the chemistry wasn't as mind-blowing as Yeonwoo-Yoohan in season 1.
Oh Yujin is cute, would have loved to see more of her in the drama! + Yoohan's bestfriends - they need their own stories too in my opinion.
Some passages between Yeonwoo and Sehyun felt forced, and not that cute (to me). I really didn't like the part when they were in the lab - it felt really amateur and too simple for me.

* Rewatch value: Its a no from me. Once was enough. Im glad they released all the episodes at the same time though. (its a real torture to wait for days) But I'm not watching it again.

*Overall value: I feel that this season raised more questions than it answered. The ending wasn't satisfying - was it even a real ending with that kind of "end"?
