My remaining one braincell didn't handle the twist I had to rewatch it.

This contains spoilers but I just have to air my thoughts. Initially, I would've scored this a 7 but after watching it again, somethings made full sense. So I'm scoring it an 8.5

I didn't realize that the epilogue was from the further past. Probably the ones where they just really discovered the basement. This is all a repetition. They have been subjects of the experimentation for quite some time now. This is why Juran seems to be really detached with her family because it's not her real family at all. When Shizuko and Kazue accidentally watched the film, it is revealed that they were part of the very first test groups and their memories are just wiped out. This is further proven when the girls embroidered the life teacher and one of the students were suddenly surprised about what happened the next day.

The superhero strength of Juran didn't happen all at once. It was a fruit of her being years in their. She probably needed to be sent out the last time because of health complications, but now that she is back to the program, she is again exhibiting the same numbness and super strength.

I love and hate that this is an intelligent movie. It was just a lil jarring when you think about the build up as horror, but I enjoyed it during my rewatch.

Boyoung and Sodam are exceptional. They say this is subtly a lesbian film but I fully believe that Juran, Kazue and Yuka were friends ever since and they are always leaning towards each other despite the memory loss.

Will probably watch again after a few years.

Take this review with a grain of salt because I've tried watching this drama for 4 times. Once a year since 2015 before I finally got the chance to appreciate it now in 2019. Now that I'm finally done with it, I'll say it was good. It took a looooooong time before it got better. I'd say in the 20-ish episode already. It needs a good mood and maybe a much mature mindset to appreciate this drama because it is about relationships. The nuances and the silence took a large play in the treatment of the director. The times I've watched it, I had been to a lot of different frequencies and maybe now was the right moment for me that's why I get past all the long winding episodes, only to realize later on that these are establishing of a lot of things for later.

Wallace Chung is a gem. I've always thought he is the Lee Seung Gi of China. They have the same aura, and they both sing their OSTs too. He did He Yi Chen justice.

To everyone who are planning to drop this drama, trust me it gets better.

I've regretted snobbing this drama for so long.

TO THE PERSON WHO IS WONDERING WHETHER THEY SHOULD WATCH THIS, PLEASE DO!

It was such a shame. I've been seeing this drama before it was launched and I didn't even sneak peeked into it. For a year? Why? Because yes, I love Wang Yibo as an idol, but I have a prejudice into idol-actors. Also, I'm not so much into BL even though I have long been a cdrama fan, and even a long-time cnovel reader.

But damn, it feels so good to be proven wrong. First, the story was so damn good. The adventure is what really made this stand. The plot is truly complex that it will really run through your head like they are real people. The BL elements felt like so embedded in the story that you crave for more. It's not just an embellishment, and not even an issue. That actually, I've fallen into this hellhole of BL romance now. Truly, took me to a whole new world.

First, let's talk about Xiao Zhan. I've watched OME and I know he's brilliant, but I didn't became so obsessed to his character until he became Wei Wuxian. It felt like I actually feel the feeling of a producers after seeing XZ and realizing, damn boy this is the WWX we've been looking for. He is so amazing that it saddened me to know the controversies (that he has no fault of) after this. But I completely understand the fame. Because in this drama, you will fall for WWX first before falling deeper for LWJ.

Wang Yibo. Oh my god. All his microexpressions are on point. That even though he just moves maybe 10% of his facial muscles, you can actually feel his love. His concern. His passion. He really exudes the Lan Wangji vibe.

What's amazing in this drama is the rewatchability. Because of the intricate plot, it will be a different experience in every rewatch. You will focus on the levels of truth and the witholding of facts. The story is so great that spoilers didn't matter. It was about understanding why there are levels of truth in this story.

Every plant was paid off in a completely right pace. And you're just actually waiting for them to know and understand everything.

Soundtrack. Wuji has devastated me viscerally. Everytime I hear about it, I just want to cry.

Now, I'm so sorry for being late. CQL has celebrated its 1st anniversary just as I've concluded watching it, and I really regret not knowing CQL earlier. But I'm glad that now I finally watched this.

And upon seeing the earlier reviews, I know it will take a long time for me to get over this. God knows I don't want to get over this.

This is one of the dramas where the romantic arc was really earned. Not just by some meet cutes or plotty schemes. It is very gradual like you actually fell in love together with the leads. I haven't felt like this in a long time and I thank this drama for giving me back these feels. I love Yujian despite people saying it's a bad acting. For me, that's how he interprets his character Yan Mo. In the first ep, I already felt the angst and the hurt, but the drama has a consistent fluff that made it adorable. I just hate the filter and the bokeh effect in most scenes, most especially in the past.
