Wow, they went over a month for the filming? I kinda feel bad for the crew! It must've been tough for them, but I'm proud of them for powering thru it all! FoF, despite the many cuts, still ended up being such an amazing drama in the end! One of my top favorites for sure!

And yes, I remember when it was just 26 episodes, so when they added more, I was really happy! I couldn't imagine if they kept that much! So much more would've been cut out omg... Also, I'm betting this could've reached the 40 ep limit which I wished happened... 🙃

Based on the photos / video, it looks like Tian Jiarui is not looking at Ju Jingyi but most probably Chen Duling (and vice versa)... And then Ju Jingyi must be looking at Joseph Zeng too (and vice versa).

Hmm... you never know tho~ For example, Fangs of Fortune finished filming only this year on February, and they had it released 8 months later... We'll see about this one tho xD

Tho I love this drama, I might be one of the few like you who also feel the romance is forced too... Oooh okay, so I went to look it up and this is what it means: keep an eye on, take care, watch out for, pay attention to (注意), forging / casting purpose (铸意), constructing / building meaning (筑意)

So in this way, Zhuyi could represent the forging of their bond through trials and sacrifices, where their shared struggles shape a deeper understanding and connection between them.

The ship names: Yizhou, Yiyan, Yiyuan, Yuanyi

I personally like a lot of these because some of them are really meaningful:

Yiyan
- one word (一言) (Yichen is the only one immune to his one-word spell!)
- glance, glimpse (一眼)
Overall meaning: Yiyan shows how their bond defies control, rooted in something transcendent or unspoken.

Yiyuan
- aspiration, wish, desire (意願)
- beginning/unity (一元); start of something foundational or unification of two entities
- a county, literally means "the beginning of (the) Yi (River)"
Overall meaning: Yiyuan illustrates how Yichen is the foundation of Yuanzhou’s journey, both as a beginning and as a desire for meaning.

Yuanyi (願 意) (there's some deep connotation in its meanings)
- willing, to be willing
- original intention (initial desire / motive behind an action)
- resentment (feelings of grievance / grudge, which Yichen had for Yuanzhou early on)
Overall meaning: Yuanyi encompasses choice, reconciliation, and the deep emotional transformation that their relationship undergoes—from initial grudges to genuine willingness to support each other.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find much for Yizhou, but I know it's a commonly used one!

For me, I've been using mostly Yiyan / Yiyuan, but after learning more of all their meanings, having to choose one ain't easy haha they all work so well!

Hey y'all is there even an official ship name between Yuanzhou and Yichen? I feel like a lot of us use different ones lol! xD So I actually gathered the many different meanings of their different ship names that I've seen being used, and I found some incredible meanings behind them (if we take it by romanization)!~ I'll write it in the spoiler below bc it's quite long! Anyways, I'm curious what y'all call them and if there's a specific one, or which one you would choose! Bc for me, well... Idk anymore LOL

They make it look like Ju Jingyi and Joseph Zeng, and Chen Duling and Tian Jiarui, will be the couples... This has been my suspicion, could it really be right? It's also the pairs I've been hoping for, so I'm praying so! We'll see about it!! Anyways omg this cast! I can't believe we're getting so many from Fangs of Fortune woahhh and even Omid too? This is crazy!! Omg wait Esther Yu and Omid reunion too?? AAHHHHH LOVED THESE TWO IN MJTY!! Okay, but I am loving this MJTY and FoF crossover! So excited for tomorrow when filming finally starts aahhhh!!

I also hope to see bromance between Tian Jiarui and Yanan (if you watched FoF, you'd know what I mean hehe)! I also hope for Xu Zhenxuan and Lai Weiming! They seem close BTS, and these two being the same age makes me want it even more (esp after seeing them in FoF and getting little to no screentime together)!

Ikrrr like they literally grew up together I can't! I need a frickin' prequel for these two, I swear! It can literally be made into a drama!! It just would be sooo amazing to see their relationship as they grow up ughhh why can't we have it! Obviously we know it's gonna be a sad ending, but omggg.... just imagine a whole drama of these two! DANG!! I WANT IT!! I swear me too! I didn't like him for even almost up until the end until he finally redeemed himself! I was hoping towards the end of the drama to genuinely see his redemption arc and now I love him. When I rewatch tho, I'll prob still hate him seeing all the terrible things he does lol but watching the whole drama just makes me understand his relationship with Yuanzhou more and it really goes so deep.

For those who love the Yuanzhou and Yichen ship (like me), I just came across this person's analysis on the two on Tumblr which reveals that Yuanzhou and Yichen are the true OTP. So stumbling upon this, reading and reading through their posts made me smile wide. :)

I'm also someone who has been looking forward to this drama ever since the trailer dropped but never actually even had a thought about these two having such a strong, deep, emotional, and unbreakable bond like this, so in a way, it made me fall in love with the drama more and exceeded my expectations.

Anyways, I can't wait to rewatch the drama and catch on things I've missed, including the things the OP mentions in their multiple Tumblr posts! I will probably continue reading them too when I rewatch the drama and read each episode they analyzed as I watch. Plan will be on Tian Jiarui's birthday (not just bc it's his birthday but also mine). I can see myself appreciating the drama even more as I also continue to find and learn new things as I watch.
