I like steamy but I HATE abusive Male Leads and boy this one is. Emotionally abisive and sometimes verbally as well and even more troubling is the message that if a woman just accepts the hurts and loves him unconditionally eventually he will love her and then treat her right. Ugh it is 2022 please stop with that toxic narrative. ML is pretty and in shape, starts out very steamy but....really does not deliver on any of that potential. SML seems nice but is not emotionally stable or strong so neither of them are in any way a good choice. Ever. Disapointing after how much work it was to find subs.
It was good fast paced show that keeps you on edge but..... To wring out more emotion from you they had characters just kind of do nothing when immediate action was required which made you like them less. Then there were the times they tried to portray the stress they were under by turning on each other during moments of safety which again, made no sense. I HATED that from begginning to end the teachers protected and defended the students harming other students. Even when they committed murder for pride. The teacher abandons the group of students to protect the one in hopes that the murderer will be a better person. That was not a good message at all. I know what they were going for was a message of redemption but redemption MUST come after responsibility and restitution. Otherwise it is just enabling. Ugh that extra irritated me. Also the times when those strong or able stood back and did nothing watching as another friend dies. So it is 50/50. Had the potential to be REALLY good like happiness IF they had just kept the characters actions and behaviour consistent. This just does not quite deliver so I am sad to see it with a rating as good as happines. So....you will enjoy this but prepare to be frustrated and irritated as well.
I have been trying to figure out which was the first and which the second before watching. Only to realise just not that the two Yin Yang master movies are in no way connected even though both are on Netflix. I Really love actors in both movies so still no idea which to watch first. I really really hate spoilers of any kind so often even avoid trailers. With that horror of spoilers in mind....which should I watch first?
Very well said, simply googling the subject will give a better understanding on how HUGE the impact of bullying…
I don't have a good answer to this. We cannot minimise the level of damage to victims and how it can negatively impact their future as well as the financial cost to pay for professional help to repair said damage. Also inhibit/harm their future relationships with others. But, I hate the thought of someone who is no longer a hurtful person having their lives ruined just as badly by mistakes made when truly a child. Should we base our reaction on how bad the abuse was or should we base it on how harmed the victim was? How much harm caused by a teen or child should be ignored vs how much should they be held accountable for when brought to light? And how much of the bullying that children/teens have perpetrated is because there was no accountability for it in school at the time? As terrible as it is, consequences tend to be preventative and children seeing beautiful wealthy stars losing everything because of behaviour they thought they could get away with when young, sends a message to those still in school that they may still face consequences even if they do not at school itself. As terrible as the loss is for the star right now, them being held accountable for their past actions may indeed help prevent bullying in the future.
5 - fifth GRADE!! GOOD GD! So he was what 11? What's happening to this generation?YES, bullying is horrific on…
While I understand "it was a long time ago" and "they were kids then and we are adults now"..... I get it...but I think that if as you graduated high school and see the face of your past abuser daily because they are a famous person now (shows, commercials, social media) that will trigger a trauma response. Your abuser stayed in your past in the case of a celebrity they are never in the victims past. I just think this is important for us to remember when examining these issues as they arise.
I am in no way commenting about the bullying scandal but that the comments seem to be very dismissive of the pain and long term damage bullying causes. No blame here but please empathy for victims and a clear understanding that once damage has been done an apology is just empty words particularly when only given because the perpetrator was supposed to or forced to. If you have harmed someone by bullying them, and are actually sorry about it, then prove it with an action that helps to heal the pain. Give more than easy and often empty words. Put an equal amount into healing the harm that was put into bullying. Told them five times a day how ugly they were for 3 years in school? Then tell them for 3 years now every day how great they look. Told them 5 times a week for a year what a loser they are and unloveable? Then tell them 5 times a week for an entire year that they are good enough. When you filled a persons world with painful words and actions for an extended period how can three words just once be considered remotely equal? It does not matter what the reason the bully did what they did. What matters is what the bully does about it now that they know and understand. How about paying for their therapy? It shows remorse and action.
